Height: 180.3 cm (5' 11")
Weight: 71.5 kg (157.4 lbs.)
Eye Color: Blue
Hair Color/Style: Black/Very short, hangs around head
Distinguishing Features: Danielle has a nasty scar on the side of her head that she received during active duty; it is on the right side of her head and runs diagonally from below her ear to the back of her neck—exactly how she got this scar is unknown.
General Description: Danielle has bright peach colored skin; most men have made many a romantic comment about it. She is well-built, despite being a tech and biotic expert. She maintains her physique with a daily regimen that she attempts to maintain every single day. She only ever misses her routine under severe circumstances (i.e. when she is on assignment, is involved in battle, etc.) She never wears make-up, not even during formal events, though she is not above wearing dresses especially since it compliments her slender figure.
Personality: Danielle has a very inquisitive nature, much like her brother. She is always willing to learn new things and meet new people, especially aliens. She is particularly fond of salarians because she finds them a challenge especially when it comes to strategy games. She also has eidetic memory, like her brother; she can recall almost anything in her life. Her mind is like a library; almost any time someone asks her a question, she will likely be able to answer it. She is also extremely sensitive to details either when experimenting or reading people. But that does not mean she has her faults; in fact, her perfect memory tends to be a burden and a blessing. Since she can recall almost anything from her memory, she can remember both good and bad memories. Often when Danielle experiences something traumatic, her mind will subconsciously recall a past traumatic memory. Also, if she becomes angry enough at a particular situation, she will become so focused that she will literally drown out anything and everything around her.

Personal History Summary
When Danielle was much younger, she and Isaac—her twin brother—lived with their mother, Hannah Shepard, aboard various and space stations. Things were going well, until they started basic education. Almost immediately, their instructors noticed they had a real aptitude for all their courses. This got them nominated to attend Grissom Academy.
While it was a big change for the Shepards, Danielle and Isaac were willing to give the academy a try. And so, after a couple days of jumping past mass relays, they arrived at Grissom Academy.
At first, it seemed daunting to the young duo. But there was one thought that made the transition easier: that they would be able to see their father much more often—he was a professor at the Academy. Another fact that made the transition easier was that they were not alone; there were a dozen kids their age also attending the academy, so they were not totally alone.
Over the next several years, Danielle and Isaac attended various classes at Grissom Academy. From science to mathematics to literature, the Shepard twins were exposed to a rich diverse range of education. But they were not the only studies they received; shortly after they entered, the twins discovered they had biotic abilities. Apparently, their mother had been exposed to eezo (element zero) shortly they had been conceived. And so, Danielle and Isaac received biotic training from some of the best instructors.
Things went relatively smooth at the academy for the twins; there were a few scandals involving the faculty and more than a few rough spots with some of the senior students. But, eventually, they graduated with high marks in their classes. Shortly after they graduated from Grissom Academy, they enlisted in the Alliance military.
Shortly after enlisting in the Alliance military and entering basic training, Isaac and Danielle were called down to the Commanding Officer's office. Apparently, there had been some sort of mix up with their personnel files. When they arrived, they met with an unexpected discovery: members of their extended family.
It was a shock for the two of them, but they were delighted and eager to meet their new family members. There were more than a few rough spots with some of the new family members, but eventually things evened out and they became a close nit group.
Eventually, Danielle and Isaac graduated from Basic, along with their extended family, with top marks and excellent accommodations. Over the next couple years, the twins had a decent military career. But everything changed when they were placed at an Alliance base on a colony world known as Tiptree.
It seemed like an ordinary posting; they were tasked with guarding a military base that held sensitive Alliance intelligence. But one day, a massive invasion force stormed Tiptree, intent on taking the world by any means necessary. If they succeeded, they would not only gain a foothold in the Attican Traverse, they would also have access to top-secret Alliance Intel.
Thus began a long and brutal battle for control of the colony. At first, Isaac, Danielle, and the rest of the Alliance forces were able to keep the invaders at bay with firefights of attrition. But as the battle drew out, it became apparent that the invaders were not going to surrender so easily. Danielle and Isaac suggested to their superiors that they contact the Alliance for backup, but the COs would hear nothing of it; they were convinced that these invaders could be driven off with good, old fashioned Alliance tenacity.
That was over a week ago; more than half of the COs were dead and the invaders were quickly starting to gain ground. The situation seemed grim, at best; it soon became apparent to the twins that the situation required something more if the invaders were to be stopped and Tiptree saved. Although their superiors threatened the two of them with insubordination, they ignored the COs and rallied what remained troops they could to end the occupation.
They started out using guerilla warfare; hit-and-run attacks, sabotage, and anything else they could think of that would cripple the invaders forces. At first, they seemed to be making progress; but the tides quickly turned back to the invaders when a massive dreadnaught appeared in the skies above Tiptree, armed with massive cannons that could easily turn the entire surface of Tiptree into glass. Later that day, a message was broadcasted over all open channels by the invaders, stating that if the insurgents did not reveal themselves within the next three planetary cycles, they would set the entire surface of Tiptree asunder.
Danielle and Isaac knew the only way to save Tiptree now was to destroy the dreadnaught before the invaders made good on their threats. They had little time to devise a proper strategy; eventually, they settled on a plan: blow the dreadnaught up from the inside. It would not be an easy mission, in fact the whole plan seemed suicidal, but it was the only plan they had. And so, Danielle, Isaac, and the remaining Alliances forces prepared for what may very well be their last stand.
They spent a good portion of the first day gathering supplies and materials to jury-rig the bomb. There were a few tense moments, after all a single mistake would mean annihilation for them. The bomb was soon completed and the troops were ready; all that was left was to figure out a way to get the bomb onto the dreadnaught and place it in an area that would do the most damage. Once the plan was in place, they prepared for their final assault on the dreadnaught.
Under the cover of night, Danielle and Isaac led the troops to a port the invaders were using as a supply drop off. Being as stealthy as possible, they snuck into the port and commandeered a shuttle, which they used to board the dreadnaught. But while boarding had been easy, remaining undetected was a whole other matter.
The twins and troops had barely stepped off the shuttle before the entire dreadnaught had been made aware of their presence. Soon, bullets were flying and bodies were dropping every which way; Danielle and Isaac did their best to try and lead the troops as far into the dreadnaught as they could. But, alas, there were only able to make a third of the way before the invaders had them boxed in.
The twins tried to push past the invaders' forces, but they were just too well dug in for them to make any headway. And so, it was decided that they would activate the bomb where they had it; the twins and troops were more than ready to die, until one soldier by the name by the name of Orrin Moreau—an Alliance veteran who came out of retirement to fight the invaders—found the escape pods nearby.
The Shepard twins realized they now had a chance to escape; they knew that even if the dreadnaught fell, there were still invaders on the surface of the planet to deal with. One by one, Isaac and Danielle loaded the troops into the escape pods and jettisoned them. Soon, only Orrin and the twins were left; they were about to grab Orrin when he suddenly pushed them into the pod, closed the doors, and launched the pod.
Danielle and Isaac contacted Orrin, asking what he was doing and why he had chosen to stay. He told them that he was going to make sure the bomb went off; there was a chance the invaders had someone who could defuse it before it exploded. He was going to make sure that did not happen. Also, he did not have much fight left in him; this was going to be his last stand and he intended to take as many enemy forces with him as he could.
A few minutes later, the twin's pod crash landed onto Tiptree's surface. They exited the pod as quickly as possible and watched as the enemy's dreadnaught erupted in a brilliant ball of fire. They had won the battle—and hopefully the war—but they could not help but wonder what the cost had been.
Shortly after the dreadnaught had been destroyed, the invading forces retreated back into space. Apparently, the bulk of their forces, supplies, and equipment were on the dreadnaught; now that it had fallen, they stood little chance at holding Tiptree. And thus, the Battle of Tiptree had come to an end, but at a very steep cost. More than 67 percent of the planet's population had been killed by the invaders; almost 80 percent of that figure was made up of Alliance soldiers.
A week after the invaders had been driven off, the Alliance sent forces to Tiptree; Danielle and Isaac were assisting the colonists in rebuilding wherever they could. When the Alliance forces landed, the Shepard twins approached them and demanded to know why they had not come sooner. The COs explained that they had been busy dealing with another invasion called the Skyllian Blitz on Elysium. There forces were stretched too thin to provide aid for Tiptree.
A week later, Danielle and Isaac were transported to Arcturus Station to give their reports about the invasion and battle of Tiptree. It was not easy for the twins to recall the events of what transpired on the colony, but they tried their best.
Hours later, the twins left the briefing room where they ran into Captain David Anderson, who had come to deliver some good news. Apparently, their actions on Tiptree had granted them a chance to enroll in the N7 program. To say the twins were shocked was an understatement; they did not think their actions merited a chance to join the Alliance's best. But they knew a chance like this would not come along again anytime soon and agreed to Anderson's offer.
Several days later, Danielle and Isaac were transported to Rio de Janeiro, which housed the main N7 facility. It was here they reunited with their extended family for the first time since basic training.
The training was intense and grueling, but they bore with it. They were determined to better themselves so that the mistakes they made at Tiptree would not be repeated. Little did they know their skills and new training would soon be put to the test…
Base Class: Sentinel-Because of her incredible mind and ability to memorize almost everything, Danielle received special training in both biotics and tech. This made her a good ally to have on the battlefield, especially in firefights of attrition. She could get in close to enemy forces and ravage them from close range while defending her allies. She has also had extensive medical training, which allows her to keep her troops while seriously crippling the enemy.
Specialization Class: Raider-While Danielle shares a lot of qualities with her twin brother, Isaac, she has been noted to be a tad more aggressive than him in certain situations. A perfect example would be her tech armor; rather than make it more durable and last longer, she designed it to release an energy pulse that could stun nearby adversaries. Thanks to the N7 program, Danielle's aggressive nature was honed to such a point that she could do some serious damage to enemies if she is able to get close enough.
