Timmy blow a short sigh causing his low bangs of his light brown hair to flutter before starting.  “Well….at first it was kind of dark. Then I heard water and I look out this big window and I find out I’m on a bout; and there is no land, then I look to the sky waiting, and then hear someone say “soon”; that I wake up.”  Tina stops eating and then said excitedly “In my dream I saw all these animals; like the one they showed us at Learning Hall, you know the one that aren’t here anymore". "Extinct" I yond. "Yeah" Tina continued; "I saw birds, cats, a little mouse with a tiny bunny, a dog, and really big bear! It was even bigger than Uncle Jock!” she said as she pointed up in the air with her spoon gold curls swaying. Then her shining light green eyes drift to her second bowl. “What about you Maria?” Aunt Sara asked from the counter. “I’ll only tell if Timmy eats this one bowl” I say in a cocky tone. I give him the “You Know You Want To Know.” Face and he giggles but starts to eat. “I dreamt that I was running in the snow .” This was not a total lie. “I wouldn’t be surprised with how lightly you dress and it’s even going to be 20 degrees today that’s four degrees less then yesterday!” Aunt Sara remarked as she took one of the empty bowls from Tina. “Really I’m fine.” And it was true too; the cold never really did bother me. One could even say that I enjoyed it. Aunt Sara brought me over a cup of water and said “I just want you to be warm enough. I hate the thought of you; any of you not having what you need and suffering because of it.” Sometimes I still have to remind myself that aunt Sara isn’t really my aunt. None of us are related and yet she and uncle Jock both have treated us as if we were their own. Once finish with breakfast, Aunt Sara starts helping the kids with their bulky jackets and shoes why'll I grab the sled, we head toward the door and the kids and I start off for the Learning Hall.

I take off my hood, letting my long dark brown hair drop down my back. My dark gold eyes scanning up ahead, seeing which path we should take today. I turn to the kids sitting on the sled, “Okay guys the Open, the Water, or through town?”  “The Open!” Timmy says with caramel eyes wide with excitement. I look to Tina who’s practically bouncing on the sled   “I want to go down one of the hills!” she cheers.  I agree with a smile, gab and pull the rope that’s tied to the front of the sled, turn left and head west. The Open is just that; open landscape with rubble of old buildings that long since fallen or were torn down but is still more clear than the debris that litters the town.  The square shaped town with its rows of clustered buildings that are separated by Blocs. The row that’s closest to the Learning Hall and mountains is called A bloc. That’s where most of the people who own and/or build tec. Equipment that people use in daily life (though most are just rich snobs).  Behind that is B bloc where merchants live with they’re store and stalls. In C bloc people like Uncle Jock work on the mountains in the caves and past that is just ghettos where traders live off in make shift housing or if lucky a tent scavenging anything they can find and trade.

I’m pulling the kids up to the Learning Hall when I hear it.
