Ain't that the summary of my life. *sigh*
So about the piece itself . . . Bold. Pops out. It really shows the feeling that people have when they hide their true selves from the world to protect their reputations and keep friends that may not even be true. The figure seems to be surrounded in thorns, it looks like. As if there is something keeping her from escaping and showing herself to the true world. She may present herself as bold, but she looks quite shy. Then there's the blood. Perhaps she's using her shell to hide the murderer within. A shy murderer hiding in an outgoing nice person, perhaps? That is rarely done. Simple, could be easy to draw with enough skill and patience, but to think hard enough about something like this takes true skill. She is camouflaged in herself. So many questions can be asked. Who is she? Why is she hiding? These questions make the viewers look harder, and able to see how good it really is. I love it.

This is by far my favorite piece of yours, it's intricate but obvious, but even the obvious shapes don't pin point the story unless you're willing to really look past the shapes and to the empty space as well...this is an amazing concept and works on levels that the whole "we hide behind a mask" cliche can't really grasp. Amazing job.
