Chapter three: Napu Raptor.

Necrid came outside with Dina and Cassaunda by his sides, and said. “Very well, it is time to leave now, Colonel Xenos, prepare the men.” “Yes, my lord.” Kharlan answered, and then almost shouted. “Guards, time to leave, Andrew, and Lyna stop that kissing, Raine and Dragonius, stop that playing around, we are leaving now!” All of the ten other guards got up, and began to walk towards another exist there was in the city. Selene and James was in the back, talking. “So… Where are you from, James, I’ve never seen you here?” Selene asked. “Well, I’m from… another world, I’m not from here…” He answered, Selene just smiled at him, then said. “That’s ok, sweety, I’m from Veltion, like the most of  the guys here are, it’s rare we meet guys who’s cute like you.” She blushed after saying, and so did James. “I… I’m sorry… I didn’t mean to say that… It just pupped right out of me…” James just smiled blushed, and said. “No, it’s ok, I’ve never had anyone to say that to me before, never.” “Oh… I thought a lot of people would say that to a guy like you.” Selene answered in hope for him to smile at her, and he did, he smiled at her with a very deep blush.

“Hei, what be that!?” Raine suddenly said loudly, and the whole escort stopped while Raine pointed onto the top of the hill, Necrid walked up to Raine, and asked. “What is what, Raine?” “That gui, and girlie!” she fastly said, and sneaked up to them, and shouted. “BOO!!!” The woman jumped up from where she sat, and said “Wow… You scared me there, Raine! What are you doing here?” “Me be escorting council to Veltion!” Raine answered, and smiled. The woman suddenly said. “Oh, dear… I forgot to introduce my new companion.” The woman pointed at the monk while smiling. “It is all right, Fleiraw, I will introduce myself.” A calm male voice said, he stood up and bowed to Raine. “I am Napu Raptor, lone monk and companion of Fleiraw Xaras here.” Raine smiled, and grinned at him. “Me be Raine!” she said, and looked at Fleiraw, then winked at her. “Goodie luck, Fleiraw!” And then Raine ran back to the group which was moving closer to the two, and Fleiraw blushed as Raine said that, looking at Napu, hoping that he didn’t hear what she said, he luckily he had already sat down and drank some of the tea she made for him.

At the time the group came to them it was beginning to get dark, and Necrid said. “Greetings, I am Necrid Darkblood, and you do not need to introduce yourselves. He turned to Kharlan and then said. “I think it is time to set camp for the night, Colonel, we can not reach Yak’s Bend before night fall.” “Of course not, my lord.” Kharlan answered with his dark, deep voice. “Men, we set camp here, rest now.” Then Kharlan sat down for himself, but that didn’t help because Raine came, and said. “Hiya, Kharlan! How you be!?” She was smiling and, and Dragonius came and took his arms around her waist, showing he was a head higher than Raine, and her long blonde hair with flowers in it. Kharlan looked at at them, then said. “Just leave me alone, Raine.” “Okie!” Raine grinned, then walked of with Dragonius.

“What’s with those two, Selene?” James asked. “Who, Kharlan and Raine?” she answered. “Yeah, them, what’s with them?” he asked again. “Oh, Kharlan once thought she cheated on him, but it turned out she didn’t, and he has regret it ever since.” She answered with a little grin. “Ah ok.” James said, looking at Selene. “Well, I’ll go to bed, I’m pretty tired” “Oh, ok…” Selene said with a bit of disappointment in her voice. “Goodnight then…”

Suddenly James woke up hearing Raine shouting something he couldn’t quite hear, but he saw that Selene had already left. James stood up, and when he got to where Raine was he saw she had her bow ready with an arrow, aiming at a group of people moving closer… They looked like childen atleast they were as tall as children, but these had beards…. Wearing armour, and weapons… James looked at Raine who looked pretty serious… He then looked down at these haflings when Raine said “That be Dwarves!” James kept looking at them from the hill they were on, and he could see that they were wearing black armour, and they weapons was pretty large axes compared to their size, they were almost half as big as themselves, he could now see their beards were pretty long, and the front dwarf had a white beard he suddenly realised they were pretty close, and were in a pretty fast speed when Raine shouted “Dwarves be coming from White Hawk!”

James looked back at Kharlan who was already ready with his sword, Lyna, Spartacus, and Andrew were also ready, where Dina and Catsohori was kissing, and Catsohori whispered something to Dina before he took his bow, and went up besides Raine where Sanshin already stood. The three aimed their bows, and then fired against the dwraves, James could see three dwarfs fall before someone grabbed his shoulder and pulled him back, and a low gentle, beautiful voice said “Shh…. James, don’t get hurt, please.” It was Selene, who also looked pretty ready to fight against the dwarves. “Who are they, Selene?” James asked, and Selene answered with a low voice. “They’re the mountain dwarves… From the White Hawk mountains… They’re pretty strong, so whatch out, please… For me…” James nodded before walking over behind in the crowd, where Necrid stood with Cassaunda and Dina. “Oh, hello, elder…” James said. “Excuse me, I’m not a fighter, I’m sorry.” “It is alright, young James.” Necrid answered, looking calmly at James. “The strongest of us is… Well me, and then Casaunda and Dina here.” James looked at them, Casaunda and Dina nodded, showing it was true.

James smiled, before looking against the dwarves agains who now had lost several men, James sighed in releaf, Necrid stood up to Kharlan, and said “Kharlan is your men ready… Or do you wish me to show James what power is?” “You can show what real power is my master.” Kharlan answered slowly. Suddenly a low voice came from behind “Master Necrid, can I please test my skill…?” Necrid turned around before answering calmly. “Of course you can my apprentice, it would be nice to see how much you have improved since last.” “Thank you master.” She answered with a low voice.

They all looked at Rayne while she slowly walked down towards the dwarves who now stopped up, and laughed at the single warrior coming down, and even a female one, then she suddenly lifted her hands, and a cloud of shadow flew against them, where the leader, and three others fell to the ground dead, right away.
The other dwarves went to attack rayne, but she let the blood of the four she just killed come out, and turn into little round, small globes, then fired at the remaining dwarves, after only a few moments, she was on her way back with seven round small red globes hovering around her.

“Well done, my young apprentice, you have been tought well.” Necrid said. “Thank you master.” Rayne answered with her low voice, but it was easy to hear she was pleased that her master said she had done well, Necrid rasied his left hand and the seven small globes that was hovering around Rayne now flow into his hand where he let them vanish infront of them all.

Napu who had been standing in the background all the time didn’t say a word, or did anything at all, nothing but giving a light “Heh…” before he sat down against the tree, and went to sleep, as did the others…

Next morning James woke up by Selene waking him up while saying “James, wake up! We’re about to leave now!” James opened his eyes, and looked at Selene, then answered in a yawn “I’m up…” He stood up and began to take on his shoes and took his sword, while he looked at Napu talking to Fleiraw. James and Selene walked to Napu, and James said. “Hello, sir, I’m James Mcgregor.” “Good day, I am Napu Raptor, lone monk, I am pleased to meet you, James.” Napu answered with a calm voice. James looked at Fleiraw who answered short after. “And I’m Fleiraw Xaras, wandering mesmer.”

James and Selene walked together again this day on the way to the land of Veltion as they closed in on the mountains they saw that Yak’s Bend had been attacked by the White hawk dwarves Necrid turned around and all the others made a half ring infront of him, and he began to talk “Alright, Raine and Sanshin, you two check the area for White hawk dwarves, if there is anyone, you know what to do. Kharlan set up a champ, we have to find out what happened here, get to work.” “You heard him, men!” Kharlan shouted. “Get to work, now! I want you Andrew and Lyna on guard duty!” James looked at Selene, and whispered. “What are we supposed to do?” Selene looked at him, and grinned. “Well as far as I know, we’re not supposed to do anything, cause we’re not a part of his men.” She asnwered. “So the two of us, and Napu and Fleiraw aren’t supossed to work at all.” James smiled a bit and looked at Selene who was blushing cause James want looking at her. “Stop looking at me like that, James, you’re making me blush….” She said lowly. “Sorry…” James answered, and looked away.

James looked at Napu and Fleiraw as they talked a bit, then suddenly walked away behind some trees, James was curious, so he followed them, and while he was looking from the hide he had, he saw Napu take of his top clothes, and handwraps. James looked in surprise as tatoo’s came out of the blue as the armour dropped to the ground, and the tatoo’s was glowing red, Fleiraw touched them as Napu said with a calm voice “The ancient tatoo’s of the Chaos god… Elemudor… He have chosen me to be the bearer of his divine tatoo’s they give me more powers than I could imagine exists…” James looked with his eyes widen, and very scared of getting caught, he began to shiver, as he left them again, feeling afraid of what Napu was.

Selene looked at James as he came back all shivering, and looking terrified, she got a bit scared cause he looked like that, and asked “James… W-What’s wrong?” James just looked at Selene without being able to speak at all, he was completely unable to speak after what he saw back there.

Necrid was talking with Dina and Casaunda as Selene came to them with James, who was still shivering, and unable to talk, Dina looked at them with a soft smile, while Necrid and Casaunda were still talking, as Dina asked with a soft voice. “What’s wrong with James?” She was looking from Selene to James. “I don’t know he just came like this, all shivering.” Selene answered, looking quite frightened. Dina looked a bit at James, then said. “Something made him scared… So scared that he’s shivering now, but what… I don’t know, something stops me from seeing what it is. I can’t read his mind, I’m sorry Selene.” Selene looked at Dina, looking hafly terrified, if not completely.

“P-Please don’t say he might die, Dina, please don’t…” Selene said seeming to really care for James, who was nearly fainting. Dina looked at Selene with a worried look, before eventually answering with her soft voice. “I don’t know, sweety, I really don’t, I wish I did… But, I don’t think he will die.” “It seems like it is something he have seen, Dina and Selene.” A deep dark voice said, as Necrid Darkblood came to them. “But what have made him this terrified did not make sure you can not see into his mind, but it is something about his own energy.” Selene looked at James who was about to pass out, just a second before he did, Selene caught him, and lied him down slowly.

Selene looked at James as he lied on the ground fainted, she felt a tear run down her cheek from the left eye, she didn’t know why she would let a tear come, she never really felt anything when people got hurt, but James was different for her, she just couldn’t accept that he might die, and she couldn’t save him. Dina looked at Selene then said with a low soft voice. “Selene, let Necrid be alone with James, ok?” “O-Ok, D-Dina…” Selene answered, her voice shivering a bit, before standing up, and walking away with Dina as Kharlan came over to Necrid, and picked up James carrying him over to a tent and inside.

Selene looked at Dina amd she looked back at her with an encouraging smile, trygint to get Selene to smile, but it didn’t work, not at all, she just looked to the ground, seeming very sad, before a low crying could be heard from Selene, and tears ran down her cheeks before falling to the ground, her blue hair covering her face.
Dina sighed deeply before looking to the tent then back at Selene, taking her into a hug, trying to comfort her, but it didn’t really seem to help that much…

Napu and Fleiraw came from behind the trees wondering what was going on, as Fleiraw saw Selene crying. She hurried over to  her and asked. “What’s wrong, dear?” But Selene didn’t answer, not before Fleiraw asked once more. “Go on, dear, you can tell me, I’m not going to hurt you.” Selene looked up at Fleiraw then said slowly. “J-James is h-Hurt… I-I don’t know what’s w-Wrong…” “Oh dear Selene… That’s awfull.” Fleiraw said with a soft voice, trying to calm Selene down, but it didn’t work at all, Selene rejected all help coming to her, as she suddenly just disappeared in a cloud of shadow. Napu who stood in the background didn’t say a word, he just looked at the shadow disappearing before looking against the tent, then walking against it.

Napu looked into the tent opening where James was writhing and asked Necrid. “What is wrong with James, elder council Necrid?” His calm voice seemed to calm James down right away just by hearing it like a magic wave in the sounds, James lied down on the table, lying completely still. Necrid looked at Napu with an impressed look. “How ever did you do that, Napu?” “It is in my power that my voice will calm down every soul who hears it.” Napu answered with his calm voice. Then necrid said. “Interesting, Napu, can you please take a look at James, he is not well, as you can see.” Napu looked at James for a bit before answering. “Of course I can, lord Darkblood.” Napu walked towards James as Kharlan, and Casaunda moved to the side for Napu, Napu looked at James before placing a hand on his stomach, before whispering “Elendor” Blue Divine energy came from Napu’s hand and into James’ body filling him with energy, James could feel how his body got new energy, his muscles getting renewed powers, it went though his body in waves of pure energy. James opened his eyes suddenly, and then taking a deep breath before looking at Napu, who calmly looked back at him,  smiling with a calm smile before he said witrh his calm voice. “Please, stand up, sir James.” James stood up slowly feeling stronger than ever before, as it was the first time he’ve ever felt the divine power flowing through his body, it felt like adrenaline rushing through him, but then again, he weren’t in a fight, neither been in one for a long time.

James looked at the people around him as he noticed they all looked at him, he blushed slightly before he went out the tent, hoping Selene would be there, but he couldn’t see her at all, he wondered where she was, but Fleiraw came to him and said “James… I can’t find Selene… She just disappeared in the mid air, in a cloud of shadow” James looked at her before looking around and answering. “So… She isn’t here? Or anywhere near here?” “No… She isn’t… I’m sorry, James.” Fleiraw answered with a low voice.

Napu looked into the tent opening where James was writhing and asked Necrid. “What is wrong with James, elder council Necrid?” His calm voice seemed to calm James down right away just by hearing it like a magic wave in the sounds, James lied down on the table, lying completely still. Necrid looked at Napu with an impressed look. “How ever did you do that, Napu?” “It is in my power that my voice will calm down every soul who hears it.” Napu answered with his calm voice. Then necrid said. “Interesting, Napu, can you please take a look at James, he is not well, as you can see.” Napu looked at James for a bit before answering. “Of course I can, lord Darkblood.” Napu walked towards James as Kharlan, and Casaunda moved to the side for Napu, Napu looked at James before placing a hand on his stomach, before whispering “Elendor” Blue Divine energy came from Napu’s hand and into James’ body filling him with energy, James could feel how his body got new energy, his muscles getting renewed powers, it went though his body in waves of pure energy. James opened his eyes suddenly, and then taking a deep breath before looking at Napu, who calmly looked back at him,  smiling with a calm smile before he said witrh his calm voice. “Please, stand up, sir James.” James stood up slowly feeling stronger than ever before, as it was the first time he’ve ever felt the divine power flowing through his body, it felt like adrenaline rushing through him, but then again, he weren’t in a fight, neither been in one for a long time.

James looked at the people around him as he noticed they all looked at him, he blushed slightly before he went out the tent, hoping Selene would be there, but he couldn’t see her at all, he wondered where she was, but Fleiraw came to him and said “James… I can’t find Selene… She just disappeared in the mid air, in a cloud of shadow” James looked at her before looking around and answering. “So… She isn’t here? Or anywhere near here?” “No… She isn’t… I’m sorry, James.” Fleiraw answered with a low voice.
