asked for a tutorial on how to make a kusudama waaaaaay back in December. I hadn't check my Deviantart account for QUITE a while, so you can imagine how late my reply was. *insert nervous laughter*
Anyways, this is how to make one of the flowers for the kusudama ball (as I've written in the tutorial TWICE already). I'll be making another tutorial with how to assemble all 32 pieces, since there are at least 2 ways (that I know of) you can do it. I'll also include a "how to make a simple tassel", and I'll work on it as soon as I can.
This is my first tutorial ever, and I did the mistake of writing at 25% zoom level without realizing it was 25% until the end. My writing is a little messy up close, and I apologize for that. If you have any troubles making the flower, let me know. I usually give instructions orally rather than "FOLLOW THESE PICTURES!!!" , so there might be a little confusion.

ive heard of ways before where you had to make each individual petal(which is EASILY 60 sheets of paper) this is WAAAAAAAAAY easier!!!! I know quite a bit of Orogami already so it was fairly easy to understand. Ill be able to do this quicker than you may think, inly question ive got is what size is you paper(i knoiw its a square so the one you used in paticual was a 4X4 or something?)used.
i only ask becaus i have no Orogami paper, but i DO have a straight edge and 8.5X11 so i could cut it smaller.

I've heard of the other version, but I've only gotten as far as one flower. 60 papers is a lot for one project! :S
As for origami size, I used a 15x15 centimeter paper (or 5.9 to 6 inches)in the tutorial. However, you can go virtually ANY size. I've cut down paper to 2.5x2.5 centimeters (1x1'')which I find manageable, and the smallest I've ever done is 1x1 centimeter (0.39 x 0.39''), but that was only one flower (it took me about 10 minutes to get it done
