Well now, if I may play devil's advocate for the last panel, I'd say that you SHOULD draw legs like that! But only if you know what you're doing and are using them to exaggerate the anatomy. Drawing realistic is wonderful and (of course) the best way to learn but exaggeration can make for wonderfully expressive drawings. :3
Wonderful tutorial/reference though. XD but you know what they say, 'never say never'. <3

I'll say as some others have said: You can't exactly say "never" for something; while art is subjective, it /is/ good to know proportions and anatomy and generally 'rules', before breaking them. That said, the legs you've drawn under the "never draw this" list can be used as caricaturization, or to 'cartoonify' one's canine character into a western animation/image style.
I would also like to point out that it would be a lot more helpful if you were to include how the legs are sized in relation to the rest of the body; where the elbows/knees are in proportion/relation to the body.
This is a good, simple tutorial however; hopefully it encourages onlookers to do a little research on anatomy to truly understand. Thank you for taking the time to make it, as well as the others you've made. c:

I often wondered what people would do if I just pooped in the middle of a crowded restaurant.
This was helpful.
Thanks.
Sincerely,
Dad

No matter how many tutorials I see, I still manage to mess up legs, especially hind legs.
Maybe this'll be the one that changes that.

The 'mistakes' are just stylized, and can be acceptable if that is generally agreed to be the artist's style, but even with that it's important to understand proper anatomy. Very nice. C:
