Hello, friend, and Happy New Year! I'm here for this year's Critmas , spreading happiness through constructive, positive commenting! I found your piece through CritiqueCommunity and I loved the colors, so I decided to review this.
Having the black background against the bright rainbow of colors really makes your character stand out! And it's pretty cool to see some of the lines glowing brightly, especially around his face to lead our eyes there.
It would've been cool to see a different color or a more vibrant white be used for the eyes. With the black smudge inside of it, it takes attention away from the eyes, making the bright, colorful lines more the focal point. I also find that the gray all around the dragon not only doesn't add much, but it detracts from the rest of the style, muddling the bright and vibrant color of the outlines. Finally, I think that adding a tongue or a little more definition to the inside of the mouth would've been a nice touch to add some extra detail.
This is very creative! It's not often you see a piece drawn in this way and it works really well here. I can see the details of the dragon well and it's really quite eye catching in its uniqueness. You did a great job on it!
Hope anything I've said here helps! If you have any questions or need me to clarify something, just let me know. Happy Holidays, my friend!
