Edit as of 20/10/18: I tweaked it in many places because it lacked symmetry in general, so I spiced it up a little.Also, I have no idea if I wasn't paying attention to the reference or if I just was too much of a pussy back then to put them forward, but I put the arms BEHIND his quills lol. So I brought them forward.

I started this yesterday because of art block so it's different from what I usually do, and I'm not exactly sure how much time it took, but it's max. 10 hours. I counted up to four or five last night (the only way I kept track was because I had to keep turning off f.lux each hour) and literally finished it a few minutes ago. I'm pretty happy with how it turned out!

Thank you! The purple was very important, but what makes this work imo is the contrast between warmer and colder colours. The background has colder colours (blue-purple) whereas Nazo has all the warmer tones (red, yellow), so it makes him stand out.
Either way, glad ya like it.

although the rings of the hyper perfect nazo are black instead of yellow because that color was of the previous transformation but that's only a little detail

Oh yeah, I know, but since the background is dark, I decided to flip it around a little to have a second source of light so that his feet would stand out.
In fact, now that I look at it, I wasn't all that faithful to the original scene, ha ha.
Like, the ball of energy itself should have a black core, but then everything would have to be really dark or purple-ish because of the light emanating from it, like in the animation.
