As Kara Otodona is the main POV character of the seas and oceans, Myles Roddenberry is the main POV character for the land, and helps give glimpses of werefolk culture and history.

Myles Roddenberry, a good natured, scholarly lad, with an abundance of love for history, the arts, and the natural world around him. He also happens to be a Were-Saltwater Crocodile, and LOVES a good fight, partially from his animal form’s bleed-in effect, partially because he legit enjoys the thrill of it. Anticipating a potential battle is even one of his catalysts for transformation! He has the scars to prove it too, one on his chest from a confrontation with a Cassowary basilisk, and another, older scar from a particularly bold bull shark.

Thankfully, Myles’ rarely has to use the full Crocodile form for a fight, and uses his crocodile form for more mundane uses, like swimming (for being submerged in water is another catalyst of his) or going through a hot and humid day.

A student majoring in Archeology in the University of Whiterock, he has a rather unusual focus in his studies: Finding as many common threads throughout Werefolk history and cultures regarding the existence of merfolk, and using that knowledge to piece out what can potentially be actual merfolk relics. A lot of his fellow students mock him for it, but his odd little interest may have actually borne some fruit: He found an interesting piece of art during a swim with one of his professors that has a unique look unknown to most Werefolk cultures.

He was instilled with a love of the sea and a love of stories thanks to the influence of his parents. His father was a marine in the Durroyan Navy, and always was eager to share a good song or story from sailors regarding the sea and its many beauties (and horrors). Meanwhile, his mother is the most famous writer in town, and her work always took inspiration from the fairy tales and folklore that she grew up with… with a bit of sarcastic touch.

Thanks to his father’s pension and his mother’s success, he is pretty well off, which only motivates him to make the most of what blessings that have been given to him, and give back thrice-fold. After all, as a visiting professor from Griffonston put it:

"A man is not measured by his wits or the strength of his arm. But the depth of care for the world around him and the sheer sum of his spirit in the face of adversity"
