aurora is my rp partner's character, and romulus is mine.

aurora is definitely the kind of person who sees rom running towards danger... and proceeds to jump off a brick wall and run right with him into that danger like it's nothing. "hey rom! where ya runnin to? where are we goin~~~?"
he could be running into a damn chip fight, and her only response would be to laugh and jump right in.

THE CHIP ON ROM'S NECK:
this chip denotes criminal actions in one's past... except for two known exceptions. ROMULUS was chipped at birth, since he's a human (clone) spliced with dog blood... and CALEB, his... uh... ehm.
LAMBDA is the source material for romulus. CALEB is the son of LAMBDA... with their mother (lambda AND caleb's). incest family, yuh-all.
SO, while normally, CHILD CHIPS are illegal, CALEB was owned by a very prominent government family (who bent the rules and of course got away with it, a blind-eye was turned) and ROMULUS is a 'thing' that shouldn't be in existence.
THAT CHIP is a marker of what is known formally as "chips", people who are chipped for CRIMINAL ACTIONS. people can BUY chips to be guards or to be taken to the mines or whatever.

the chip usually has a list, but i simplified it for sketch purposes. the chip's info is normally:
the chip's name
the chip's date of birth
the chip's RANK
the chip's owner

RANK is S-E, 0-5
the LETTER shows danger level... an S is a very large threat as far as power, an E is low threat.
the NUMBER shows hostility level... how likely they are to turn against their owner and/or snap at a moment's notice. 0 is VERY HOSTILE, 5 is least-hostile.
almost all adults fall around S-B/0-3, where B3 is the average ranking.
RANKS are obtained by obliterating chips with higher ranks, or snapping on people... especially owners.

ie, caleb (not shown) is an S/0 solely because he killed his owner. he was an A/2, and automatically ranked to S/0... but considering he killed aristocracy, his real rank is more like A/1, maybe A/0.

oh, and yes, they're screwed into the neck. painful shit.
they have needles under them too, remotely operated. one needle is a taser, the other is a tranquiliser. yeowch~
