Description
DC's Deathstroke + Marvel's Taskmaster = Amalgam's DEATHMASTER!So I finally got around to this design for a fun Amalgam. Both co-created by George Perez.
So, my thinking is his origin is like Deathstroke's. Super Soldier serum but this time it made him able to observe, save to memory, and mimic anyone's fighting styles.
I made it by photoshopping images created by Mike McKone of both characters. Link in comments

Or is it Anthony "Tony" Wilson? Or are they both aliases? Does he even remember?

The original Taskmaster (including in the 2002 solo) possessed innate photographic abilities without side effects and could recall any moment of his life. But it seems that the authors decided that he is too cool with such abilities and the other characters against his background will look faded, so they decided to "downgrade" him somewhere in the middle of 00s with a new origin with Hitler's serum.
On this picture Original Taskmaster's face, so you're Deathmaster can potentionally became deadliest and smartest evil guy.

I actually loved that tragic side of his story. That his mind is like a computer with limited ram space. He recorded over other memories to log fighting memories. Loved when he fought Finesse, who might be his daughter but he couldn't remember. So he fought her on purpose because maybe he could remember her that way.
I also love that instead of letting it turn him into a grim tragic character like Wolverine he became all about the money. Even going as far as taking money from the Avengers to basically stand there while the Avengers prevented Zemo from completing his evil plan since the Avengers paid him more. He has no allegiances, no loyalties. He can't remember them anyway. He is unique in that way. Incredible powers, no one knows what he looks like so he impersonated Captain America once, no loyalties except money, and no memories. Its great. Didn't know there were other versions though.
When I was designing this guy thats the version I was mixing with Deathstroke.

I just like the thought that in 616 Marvel, Taskmaste's powers of reflex memory caused him to forget his actual name so he picked a name, an alias. And went with a variation of his Tasmaster name hoping he'd remember it like he remembers Taskmaster. So he calks himself Tony Masters, but can't remember if he is actually Tony. So in my head the Amalgam of Slade and Taskmaster is the same since he too has superhealing and memory reflex powers.

Hadn't heard that word, officially, until after the post. But that would have been a good name. I just thought, he is a master assassin. A master of Death. A Deathmaster.

Now that...would be deadly.
Slade was already a match for Bruce, but with the capability to copy moves just by watching?
that's how you kill a bat..

I know Deadpool was inspired by Deathstroke, but is it also true Deathstroke was inspired by Task Master?

I don't know. Both were co-created by George Perez in the 1980s.
Taskmaster in May and Deathstroke in December. So, maybe their similarities were just because of Perez.

“Masterstroke” is a real word. You missed a golden opportunity.
