Description
This is a character design I made in the Young Justice style. This is Hourman aka Rick Tyler, the son of the original Hourman Rex Tyler.With this I had the idea that Rick had his own suit, gear, while not officially being Hourman. Once he joins the team and becomes official he redesigns his gear, suit, to be like his father's or he redesigns his father's to be his own. I also included his stealth mission suit and his snow suit... However I'd add fur lining.

I see a disappointing lack of cape in this otherwise excellent design! (I'm one of those who gave Edna Mode fair hearing and dismissed her mostly reasonable points on the grounds that superheroes without capes would be like scones without jam & cream).

I like the inclusion of both his own, original costume and the one based off of his father's. The take on the latter is also pretty unique and interesting.

Realy dig the design. Before reading your info I thought this was an evolution of his costume not stealth/snow variants. I digg both. Really would love to see a fur-lining variant for the snow version.
And maybe... only maybe you consider a merge of the black and the white version so Ricks costume is even furhter appart from the one of his dead.
So in my idea I would stuck with your story ideas for the first two
Red/blue before he became hourman
black/yellow redesign of dads old costume or reminicent of dads costume
and then
black/white to be even more a hero of his own

I imagine his powers working somewhat like Bane's. Connected perhaps? So he clicks a button on his specially designed gauntlets and the Miraclo rushes through those red tubes on his costume, glowing as the do, increasing his strength. Perhaps he would have ports throughout his body for the Miraclo to feed straight into his veins. His father took a pill. He is more high tech than his father.
