Hi Nemo Ramjet!
I made a work based off at least one of the creatures in this piece, but I think it escaped your notice:Β giant-blue-anteater.deviantartβ¦
I hope you enjoy!

Can't believe I hadn't spotted this sooner.
I LOVE ALL THESE THINGS

This honestly reminds me of the "time travel" level from Cosbydaf's NES Godzilla creepypasta. It seems like the "cool creature" to "unnecessarily creepy thing with a human face where it shouldn't be" ratio weighs heavily in favor of the later, or maybe that's just me.
It's still hella cool though. My favorite creatures are the "shining trumpeter" at front, the giant worm/fish looking monster with three faces and a trumpet nose, but, MOST of all, I LOVE the featureless dark green tube. It looks so non-descript and out of place with all the other wild things that it's all that more endearing. What's it's story? Some sort of floating, photosynthetic thingy from a hot-jupiter planet?

Well, it's an honor to be compared to the NES Godzilla Creepypasta... It might be the most imaginitive fiction of the decade!
The dark thing was supposed to be a Jovian sophont, encased in an armor-like atmosphere protector...

Sounds awesome...
You, uh... you wouldn't mind telling me what every other thing in this piece is, would you? ^-^

This is probably my favorite piece in your gallery. Is there any chance you could sell prints of this? I'd love one for my wall. The multifaced Anomalocaris type thing is my favorite.

I get the feeling that this is something that Hiernymus Bosch would have drawn had he been a paleoartist.

You know - that gives me an idea, perhaps I should try arranging such figures in a big, "Garden of Unearthly Delights" kind of composition...

lol the one at the end has a boner. XD
Strangely these look almost like :iconpristichampus:'s work.
Now dont worry, I'm not accusing you of anything. XD I'm just saying that the style used to make these seems similar is all.

Those are the most amazing creatures Iβve ever seen!
They all look as if they were expressing something like the blue ibis-billed creature for example.
With his erect head, he looks as if heβs allegorizing arrogance.
May I use the barrel-shaped fish thing?(I love this one)

A very interesting parade of monsters, I liked them and that armored shark with fused human faces is a little bit freaky and nightmarish and one of the creatures is clearly inspired from your own Snaiad project.
I wonder if you have visited www.Bogleech.com and watched "Abyssal", a flash movie about grotesque outlandish nightmares who resemble abyssal fauna crossed with human freaks.
Some of your creatures reminds me of "Abyssal".
And wat did you think on when you made up this creatures? It could be funny if you could explain some of the creatures im gonna mention here:
What is that dark yellow and beaked fish/boat like creature right to the orange trumpet playing biped and the green similar looking trumpet-head creature left to the human faced shark? What kinds of creatures are they?
And that dark green floating barrel thing, what is it? It looks more like a airplane engine instead of a living creature.
And why does most of the creatures having funny human faces?
Anyway I like your work.

Thanks for your comment. This is a very old work. I wasn't on anything, I just tried to make up as many weird creatures as possible, with no regard for anatomical or evolutionary accuracy. The floating thing was meant to be a nanotecnological creature. Some of them have human faces because I thought they'd look weirder that way.

Out of all of the amazing, grotesque, naked creatures in this Procession of the Cambrian Gamble, the one that strikes me the most is the green, barrel-shaped floating creature. Dare I say, it's more alien than all of the aliens following ahead and behind it?
"Technically, Gilbo the Green wasn't supposed to be in the parade. After all, he wasn't representing any particular group or species; his kind wasn't considered 'sapient' by the stuffed membranes in the Great Multiversal Council. No, Gilbo the Green was a steed for his master, Scylphean the Sinister Sixth. Coming from a long line of Sinister warlords, Gilbo's master did, but what really got on Gilbo's nerves was his master's manners. You see, Gilbo's kind is kind of like a tunicate, if that tunicate could float, move telepathically, and be able to lift an elephant. The intelligent species that domesticates Gilbo's ilk rides them from within their thick skins, almost like how a human rides inside of a car. However, every Gilbo's-ilk rider was supposed to display some sort of etiquette while within; like not blowing their nose, always clean up their mess, keep your germs to yourself, etc. Scylphean the Sinister Sixth respected none of those rules. Even now, Gilbo could hear the slob, crunching on a bag of potato chips, burping without saying 'Excuse me', no doubt scratching himself, and worst of all, Gilbo could've sworn he heard his boorish master sneeze within him. The nerve! Sinister, Gilbo's non-existant foot; he should be called Scylphean the Slobbish Sixth."

Some creatures have exposed genitalia. Blame it on the prudes who run DA.

Get ready for the flood of deviations on these things pouring in (at least from me).

Hm, let me try with the airplane engine looking dude.
"If not for the fleshy frontward dorsal fin, Mrs. Narwhal the fourth would have sworn her new visitor was a mechanical abomination sent from another dimension, or at least from the next star system. Cautiously, she prodded it with one pale simian hand, straining the webbing between the digits. It rumbled, sending good vibrations along her outstretched limb.
Udding! This wasn't another bewitched massage chair model, was it? She recalled the time the planet's collective conscious had spewed out a more mundane edition of the massage chair line to lure a young bioengineer into a musical career. What a blow that had been for the Stellenarsi cultural stereotype of plant-loving, crab-wearing, coral-lugging marmots!
Perhaps that was put in mind with the bit about the dorsal fin."

Aha (and this is a fact!), I like aliens that look unlike humans. I'm pretty jaded by the Star Wars fandom (but still buying the people!), so I'm currently trying to revamp my fancharacters into my own alien species.
In particular, these guys.

(and also the phallic fascination)
I'm trying to draw creatures that don't look like cats/dogs with wings and horns XP

Star Wars left me a great effect as well, but I recovered after 15. It was, however, a great impetus for me to draw aliens, and things like that.
