The snapper dragon breed is a new dragon breed for Flight Rising. They were a collaborative effort with the wonderful Xhaztol . They will be available to all players when we launch! Flight Rising is browser-based game where players lead a clan of elemental dragons to supremacy. You can breed, raise, battle, adventure, and watch your clan grow!The Kickstarter will be running until April 9th if anyone would like the chance to support the project and nab some of our backer rewards. We're inching our way to some reasonably spiffy stretch goals, and are so excited to present them to you at launch! There's just five hours left if you'd like to acquire some FR Kickstarter Goodies

Do you ever name your dragons? Or is Dolosus the only one? I think you should name them! You should call the little oneΒ Manganese, the white one Argon, and the cream colored one Osmium! (all elments on the periodic table just in case you were wondering!)

These are my favourite of all the Flight Rising dragons species. Love their stocky frame and little wings.

You need to draw a dragon without wings. Not all dragons need wings, such as a burrowing dragon, a dragon that lives in the arctic. (Yes, the Tundra dragon is one kind, but say a giant dragon that lives on cliff sides? Doesn't need wings.) and dragons that live in the sea. Snappers really didn't need wings, do they? Only way they can get off the ground with that stocky body is if their bones are hollow, which, judging by the structure, is not true. Without wings they would look just as amazing, and just as cute. And be more realistic, as your dragons are some of the most realistic looking mythical beasts I've ever encountered.Β
Remember: You can deviate from the traditional English/Chinese dragon. Who says all dragons need wings?

The wings are required for Flight Rising because of the gene/coloration system. A wingless dragon would eradicate the desirable double-gene/color and make said dragon undesirable for anyone seeking to breed specific colors and genes.

If you've ever checked out the artist's how to draw dragon books (or even just artwork of hers that's not related to flight rising), she does draw dragons without wings every now and then. My guess is they'll either show up eventually or, as the other commenter said, maybe she only wants to feature winged varieties in the game.

It probably has something to do with the name of the game (Flight Rising). Every dragon there has wings so far, and the logo itself has wings.

Flight rising has to do with the flight of dragons itself, not the dragons flying around. And what does the logo have to do with anything? It's just a logo.

When I read "Flight", it makes me think of a flock of creatures with wings, flying (at least when it comes to what we can see in real life). Though these are magic dragons, so magic could be the other reason they could fly in the case of any wingless dragons (if any will be made for it), or in the Snapper's case, wings too small to support its flight.
The logo has wings, that's why I've mentioned it. Logos sometimes have elements that are present in a franchise.

Whatever you say. I've played WoW, and flight in that game means a certain type of dragons, such as the Red Flight or the Bronze Flight. Not "Flying."

I've never played WoW, but what's the reason they're called a "Flight" there? (the history behind the naming they chose for it, as the WoW wikipedia doesn't seem to explain it) I cannot see any other definitions in dictionaries (aside from a sports definition:Β 7.Β A round of competition, as in a sports tournament.), which was why I thought it had something to do with flying or being capable of flight or something winged.
Though I might try to ask on FR's forum, maybe the creator could answer why they chose to name the groups that way and why all dragons have wings.
