I've really learned something looking at those asteroid and their light... adds so much real movement to a piece

I've spent the last day drawing KOS-MOS from Xenosaga but I need a background, and a planet sounded good...
So i came to you!
It's not the land I'm particuarly interested in, its the atmosphere and space effects...

I might. He seems like a perfectionist. He had a poll on one of his pics, and me and some other guys gave him constructive criticism and he got a bit mad at us.

Ah, that might be a reason then, i'm a perfectionist too but i always chase a humble practice. It's a known cliche among space artists to have tons of planets right next to each other at an impossible range, he most likely did this and i pointed out how surreal it was from a realistic piece and that's why i was extra picky perhaps because i think he does one of the most realistic textures in the space art community so i thought he would be a willing listener, sounds really just arrogant now if he think he alone will define space art and not take lectures from other seniors in the field.

I just commented about his contrast and colors. But yeah I've seen him put planets with rings in front a larger planet behind. Which the asteroids from said smaller planet wouldn't be there because of gravity pulling them to the larger planet ect. Anyways weve put too many comments on this pic. Heh yeah, started in PDN and converted to Photoshop. I use PDN for planets because my CS6s 3D function doesn't won't access the OpenCL or something on my computer so I can't use it.
