Postwork done in Photoshop.

Critiques are welcomed.

Addendum:
I appreciate honest criticism. I really do. However, I am a bit disappointed at a lot of negative feedback I've gotten about this particular image. Not just here on Deviantart.
I wasn't really going for realism here. It is sort of my first time doing textures of this kind and I was just experimenting with a bunch of things.
I honestly like the way it turned out. It looks surreal to me.
Clearly, however, I have some work to do to improve the results.
Thanks for your input.

when you put your model in a scène make sure that you check your sizes
your car is just as wide as the curb
that firehydrant looks even bigger then your engine so watch out when you scale things
i would have rather rendered that car in a better backgroud to because its way to popping out right now
its a shame bcus your car looks very good
maybe want to take a new render

The Shelby Cobra is a relatively small sports car. Firehydrants are huge in NYC; most are at least crotch high and the Cobra's hood is around that high and being that the hydrant is on the curb, it looks about right to me. Curb widths vary.

I understand that the car is popping out, which is the way I intended it.
I'm really not sure what you mean by a better background.
Glad you like the car.

then the best thing to do is to not pick a background
even if it would be right size
no one is going to be like oh thats a new york hydrant and even though everything seems to big it is right
trust me you composition is btw also not good since you can see more wall and background then the actual car
textures are popping out to much taking away all the attention
car is super smooth and clean, and then your in this dirt background.
even though i'm not one yet but you can ask any pro about this background and i'm 100% positive they will say take away the background

I wasn't going for realism. I like the way this looks. And you're oppinion of the composition is noted. I chose to do it this way for my own reasons. In fact, I like the juxtaposition of the perfect, clean, smooth car against the dirty screwed up background. I thought it added a bit of humor to the piece to call it "Mint Condition" also. It was intentional. If I was going for realism I would have done something else. Thanks for expressing your personal oppinion and criticism of the piece. It has been noted. Please do not attest to the oppinion of professionals if you are not one.

I created all the models in the image, uv-mapped, and textured them. The car is a model of a 1963 Shelby Cobra 289, by American Cars. I designed everything else in the image.

When were were doing a film, I got to help rebuild a 65 mustang gt shelby fasback. After the film was produced I got to keep it. Beautiful car. When I come to live here in USA, had to leave it behind. Wish I had it today.

It's always sad to leave behind a sweet ride. I wish this was really my car! I wouldn't park it around here. It's too damn beautiful.

Not a nice area for such a classic vehicle to break down I think. Bet when the owner returns it will be sans engine block and be propped up on bricks.
