This looks awesome so far! : D Your use of line is really great on the right side. And your choice of color is brilliant, as always.

To further play on my comment on the other piece when it comes to symmetry and balance
between order and chaos, I really love these two together. While the left side is much more
monochromatic, it offers a great contrast to the more colorful. It offers us the perception of
it being a different side to the same subject - the face. It tells a story of how often we find
ourselves torn through life's experiences. Like fire and ice, light and dark. I also love how
the left painting more clearly shows the face, and in a more 2-dimensional approach, as
opposed to the more colorful counterpart, giving it a more 3-dimensional aspect without
being as clear. The two truly complete each other, and are not truly whole when apart -
just like half of a face.

You know, I was debating, pretty hard I must admit, whether I should leave the left side of the face just like that, simple and like you said 2-D. But I already had a plan in mind and I was also thinking, worst case scenario, I could always paint a new one if I don't like it. Never happened to me that I didn't like the finished piece or a painting of mine. After all, paintings are endless. There's always that much more you could add, you are never truly done.
I like your perception of it. It makes sense and it fits. And I love knowing what people think when they see my art.
