Description
Interior double page spread done in watercolour for an educational puzzle book, first published by Big Fish in 2001. The great idea behind it (not mine unfortunately) was a theme park full of enlarged insects, gone awry. (Apologies for the poor image reproduction. It's all I have for the moment.)ISBN-10 0806983310
ISBN-13 978-0806983318

Thanks Mr Johnnzillaah - I prefer to think of it as complicatedly extravagant, haha.

I don't know, shoes like that might lead to some hilariously clumsy situations.

Thanks Adam. Yep - that was the idea. It was a puzzle book, with educational overtones to justify itself. I'll be testing you later.

I like the elephant too, PolygonWrangler. How could you not like a Dali-esque mechanical transport like that. Wish I could recall whether it was my idea or the very talented Andy Dixon came up with it. It was almost bound to be him though - his mind is full of cool stuff.

Thanks pyramidlagota. Did it ages ago, so don't remember exactly - it would have a couple of weeks at least though. I'm a slow coach.

Wow. This is great! But I really don't want to think about how much time this took. Yikes! Besides, I'm eating lunch right now and the two don't blend well.

Thanks Jeffrey - It's something I've managed to blank from my memory now too. But it was longer than 20 minutes I think, if that's any help.

The amount of details in this piece is just MINDBLOWING! I can't even begin to imagine how much time and effort you spent in this painting. The elephantine creature on the right is just so original and imaginative.
I am so glad I watched you

Thanks Rusty. It did take me a long time to finish off, as all such images do. Loads of working and and fiddling about to do.

Thanks Robert. Can't recall exactly but it would have been weeks rather than days, the ponderous way I work.
