Good lord. The smaller ships were already menacing and militaristic, but this thing...

Something about the last panel looks like Pride Rock from the Lion King. It's sort of appropriate I suppose considering the ship looks like a mountain, especially when compared to the other ships, even though the last panel is probably not showing all of it.

You'll see what the whole ship looks like tomorrow.

Since someone beat me to the Star Wars reference, here's some appropriate theme music for this beast of a ship www.youtube.com/watch?v=A9QTSy…

That's no mountain...
(Cookies to those who get this somewhat obscure reference!)

You kinda threw me off there, lol. I kept thinking, "Noooo, it can't be that Star Wars reference! Star Wars isn't obscure! What other movie has a bit like that? Hmmmmmmm.... what does it mean.... WHAT DOES IT MEEEAN???"

I didn't intend it like that. I said it like that because the line was altered slightly when I said "That's no mountain" instead of "That's no moon."

After you finish with this series, can you please do a Mass Effect one?

Obscure? That's from Star Wars.

I meant it like that because I altered it slightly by saying, "That's no mountain" instead of "That's no moon." Go ahead. Proceed to laugh at my stupidity for being autistic and not knowing the right things to say all the time. 😑

I can empathize with that feeling.

Now how the hell was something like that even built?

But seriously. Those other ships can hold a crew of thousands, basically floating cities. Where did they get the resources to make that monster, and keep it secret?

Those ships are much smaller than civilian ships like the Balena, and even that is one of the larger ones. I'd say this ship is about 5 or 6 times longer than that. These other ships can only hold crews of hundreds on average.

At a guess I'd wager it's actually a giant sea creature that they "converted" into a ship.

The world's largest cyborg? Sounds interesting, but not.... quite what I had in mind. Kinda close, I guess. You'll see someday.

It just seemed like a good guess, I've seen similar things done with necromancy instead of technology.
A giant sea creature reanimated and then build into was something that happened in Warhammer Fantasy once.
