Behold, the pirate queen's flagship... literally a giant Barracuda.Yeah... something this huge wouldn't be able to move without snapping in half or being crushed like a soda can if it was just one solid piece. So I fixed that problem (as much as I could) by making it several parts that move independently all chained up like a train... or an accordion. They each have their own propulsion systems to evenly divide up the work needed to carry the body, and it's flexible enough that it can actually be seen "swimming" when submerged, arcing side to side.
Crazy design, huh?

Leviathan would probably been a more apt name, I mean that thing looks half the size of one of New York's islands.
Your solution about the sheering force exerted on such a large volume under water is very creative: a decentralized propulsion system distributed evenly on the pressure hull segments would do the trick; I've seen similar design solutions on other franchises to compensate for the enormous masses of the submarines.
Also, did you know that Dolch Kiefer is German for Dagger Pine?

Dagger pine? I thought it meant Dagger Jaw, like "Jaw made of Daggers." The queen gives just about everything in her arsenal German names, like they're her pets.
And yeah... size wise, this thing is basically a star destroyer. But even in space, a star destroyer with only primary engines would collapse on itself as the weight of the front pushes against the back, so you're need extra engines at the front to "pull" it along and break up the workload. This is interesting stuff.

Google Translate seems to have listed, "Pine," as the most common use for the word when translated from German-to-English; when translated from English-to-German, "Kiefer," comes out as, "Jaw," I think that's the source of the confusion.
