Description
Inside the Damocles, 12:50 p.m. Hawking was watching the battle unfold outside his newly acquired flying fortress, the room he was in being purposefully dark. Even with the light of the screens showing the various battles taking place, it was hard to see his form, sitting in his seat.Hawking: Well, now, they’re making a dent in the budget I spent. Impressive. Now, to get ready for two or more kids to knock on my goddamn door.
Meanwhile, outside the Damocles, the Zangetsu, three Akatsukis and the Omoikane were locked in a battle with the Lancelot Enclave, causing damage with their weapons, though not much of the armor had been broken off.
Zanzibar: (panting) I can see why those three are part of your crew, Tohdoh…! Very capable fighters, indeed!
Kanda: Don’t worry, I haven’t gotten used to this position, yet.
Zanzibar: Oh, yeah, I recall the older one dying to the Tristan, by accident.
Tohdoh: He was in his 40s.
Zanzibar: ...How the hell did he look like more of a grandpa than me? I’m 32!
Chiba: So, the gray hair is natural?
Zanzibar: I’m going to pretend I didn’t hear that.
Asahina: Alright. We’re just gonna kick your ass.
Zanzibar: Oh, come on…!
Before Zanzibar could complain, the three Akatsukis dashed in and rapidly slashed the Lancelot Enclave with their chainsaw katanas, causing further damage and piercing through the Blaze Luminous shields. The Omoikane then used its MVS scissor blades, equipped to both wrists, and landed heavier blows, causing the Lancelot Enclave to stagger with each hit. The scissor blades then opened and closed on the Lancelot Enclave’s torso, chipping off a lot of armor. The Zangetsu dashed in, going for a downward strike with its Brake Sword. However, Zanzibar fell for Tohdoh’s trick, as when he tried to attack with an MVS, the Zangetsu disappeared, right under his Knightmare.
Zanzibar: Shit!
Tohdoh: Shadow Longsword Strike!
The Zangetsu landed a countering upward blow, boosted by the thrusters on its sword, as Zanzibar yelled out from the blow, backing into one of the walls of the Damocles and landing on its feet, the Zangetsu, Akatsukis and Omoikane doing the same.
Zanzibar: You’re good, Tohdoh… I’ll give you that…
Tohdoh: Got that right. Give it up.
Zanzibar: Never! I am committed to the cause of a new nation! Until the world is cleansed of the old failing society, a new one will take its place! Even you know of loyalty, as a soldier!
Tohdoh: I was a soldier, once. But, I cast that attitude aside. I’m a human being that’s going to tear you limb from limb, to properly kill you.
Zanzibar: Is that so? I bet you wouldn’t feel the same, if that weak man, Genbu Kururugi, were still alive. He’d tell you to man up and be a soldier to the bitter end, instead of falling for some woman you just met!
Tohdoh: That tears it!
Tohdoh was angered by Zanzibar’s statement, and the Zangetsu tackled the Lancelot Enclave through the wall of the Damocles, a terrifying tearing sound emitted upon the impact. Meanwhile, the Okuninushi entered with the Guren, newly upgraded Tristan, now named the Tristan Divider, and Mordred, looking for the Knightmare hangar.
Kallen: It’s gotta be here, somewhere.
Jeremiah: How are those new swords treating you, Gino?
Gino: Pretty good. Now, I’ve got extra melee with this new look!
Anya: I’m with you, in case we need an emergency exit.
Kallen: Alright, here it is!
The Guren opened the large door, and all the pilots accompanying Kallen were as surprised as she was.
Jeremiah: Impossible…!
Gino: I thought you…!
Anya: Not good…
Kallen: Oh…shit!
Meanwhile, the Shinkiro, Masakado and Lancelot Albion arrived at the corridor to Hawking’s room, defended by the Lancelot Sigma, whose stance seemed rather off.
Lelouch: How many times do we have to kill you?!
Alistair: Wait! Something’s wrong.
Sigma: I am...Sigma. I am...ambition. I am...revenge.
Suzaku: Looks like he’s all worn out.
Alistair: I’ll deal with him.
The Masakado approached the Lancelot Sigma, who weakly reached for Alistair, barely any anger left.
Sigma: Send me...to him… I’m done...existing… Let me...die…
Alistair: See ya.
The Masakado drew its VARIS Sequoia, and fired a powerful shot into the cockpit, bringing the Lancelot copy to its knees.
Sigma: Thank...you…
Sigma’s voice distorted and faded, as his Lancelot exploded.
Lelouch: That was just sad… He never had control over anything.
Alistair: He’s gone, now. Let’s go.
Kallen: (over radio) Need...backup…!
Kallen’s voice came over the radio, though the signal was distorted.
Alistair: Kallen?! What’s going on?!
Lelouch: Report, Kallen!
Kallen: …’re back…! Can’t hold them off…!
Alistair: Dammit, we’re being jammed, from this distance!
Suzaku: I’ll go and help her, she must’ve found the hangar and is being attacked!
Lelouch: Good luck.
The Lancelot Albion nodded, and flew off, Lelouch and Alistair descending from their respective Knightmares. The two nodded to each other, and Alistair kicked the door off its hinges, both he and Lelouch entering the dark room. They walked slowly, Alistair holding his Desert Eagles.
Lelouch: Where is he…?
Alistair: I don’t know…
Suddenly, Hawking’s voice echoed across the room, Alistair aiming his pistols around the room.
Hawking: (singing) We passed upon the stair… We spoke of was and when… Although I wasn’t there… He said I was his friend… Which came as some surprise… I spoke into his eyes “I thought you died alone..a long long time ago”...
Suddenly, the lights came on, revealing a garden room with an empty seat, and a man wearing a suit similar to Hawking’s as well as his hairstyle came out from a different entrance behind the seat.
Hawking: Oh, no! (laughs) Not me! I never lost control. You’re face...to face…
The man walked forward, as if to the beat of music, then bowed gracefully and looked at Alistair and Lelouch, revealing himself to be Samuel Hawking.
Hawking: (grins evilly) With the Man Who Sold the World!
