Happy Thor's Day, folks!

Last Tuesday it was #alienday and so I promptly spent another evening (like I do every month) watching Ridley Scott's masterpiece; one of them, to be fair and, of course, since I'm a junkie for both the xenomorph and art-making, I ended up my viewing of the film with this image in front of me.

If there's something I'm enjoying with this new take on my style is the fact that I feel much more liberated when it comes to faces, likenesses and overall composition than I had in a while. It's as though I'm not worrying about the anatomically perfect piece, so I end up doing it right by letting go and enjoying the drawing itself. Also, my speed increases two or three times what it usually is with these pieces, so that's also a plus to use it in some future project.
In keeping with the tone of the first film, I decided to make things exra-gritty and use a lot of black and shadowy/greay colors, except on certain details here and there. Lighting also comes easier with this style.

So, I hope you keep enjoying these as much as you've enjoyed the past ones, which have been overwhelmingly well received
