This piece started as a study from a lovely ref by Wincey here on DA! But I also felt like painting my favourite Dire Wolf I have in Ark: Survival Evolved so I decided to turn it into him. I also used this piece to make my own brushes to help with rendering fur! It was a lot of fun. This wolf is very fun and comforting to paint, I think he will be a new character of mine!
