Here's yet another drawing that pays tribute to a current form of media I just got interested in, that being Kamen Rider.

For those who don't know, much like Ultraman, Kamen Rider is also a long running tokusatsu series that started as long back as 1971, created by Shotaro Ishinomori, a legendary manga artist who would also create the equally long running series Super Sentai (later known as Power Rangers) as well as Cyborg 009, the original Kamen Rider series is about a young man named Takeshi Hongo who is one day kidnapped by an evil organization known as Shocker, an organization in which transforms many people into brainwashed mutant cyborgs as a means to conquer the world, however fortunately for Hongo, he manages to escape his captors before he could be brainwashed, but the damage was already done as he was already turned into a cyborg. Not wanting to see anyone else fall victim to the truly evil organization, he decides to use his new found strength to put a stop to their evil plans for good, dawning his super hero persona, Kamen Rider.

Needless to say, Kamen Rider would go on to become immensely popular in Japan, with its fair share of international fans as well, also like Ultraman, each series introduces a new set of Kamen Riders, kaijin, and other characters and plotlines, while still maintaining the core series formula, some of these shows would become iconic in their own rights as well and it shows no sign of slowing down, especially since the movie Shin Kamen Rider has been released to Japanese cinemas not too long back, and is going to receive a US showing later this month so its no better time to look more into this iconic franchise than now.
