Well, here’s the first set of Rookie Digimon I’ve been drawing. My challenge is to draw every one of them at least once. Rookie Digimon are the ones we mainly look at when we’re thinking of characters or partners in stories, right? Yet some we practically never see, or haven’t even heard of! I wanted to put them all together where I could see them.

The written setup is, the English name, then how it’s written in Japanese katakana, then the Japanese version of the name if it’s different.

These Digimon aren’t in any order. Actually that’s kind of the point - I (mosly) try to make sure the Rookies on any of the pages aren’t related strongly by season, so they can be looked at on their own merit rather than as part of a set. You won’t find Veemon and Wormmon together, or Impmon and Renamon, is what I‘m saying.
Oh, and I’ve tried to make sure that the pose is always different from the reference images I’ve seen of that Digimon. Makes it more interesting all round.

My personal favourite one out of these guys is probably DemiDevimon. But I’m also fond of Gazimon and Betamon, and the others are growing on me now that I’ve drawn them.

Also, can anyone tell me if Chuumon is a Rookie? I think so, but my main sources differ in what they say about it.
