So, I have two beautiful friends who have been in a rut of horror for basically their entire lives and things haven't gotten any easier as of late. 15 years ago our paths crossed in Cape Cod, Mass., (which is my home away from home) and ever since then, our bond has become something truly extraordinary and words can never explain the absolutely unconditional love I have for them. Their family has been through so many twists and turns that if I divulged the entire story, you think I'd be giving you the summary of a novel, but no matter what, they reamin pure as ever. As of this time, their mother is fighting colon cancer (that has unfortunately spread to many other places in her body, brain and spine included) while her (the mother's) boyfriend is in the late stages of ALS (Lou Gehrig's Disease). I just saw them last week for our annual reunion in Cape Cod (not the boyfriend) and just seeing what they're going through shattered my heart and soul because they are literally the KINDEST people I've ever met. I made this ribbon as a way to show my extended support because they are so important to me and simply seeing them go through this kills me. I've never prayed so hard.
