... but is this a setting where humans and the other great apes exist? One where humans are considered the norm, whether they are a majority or not, and anthros have had to acquire civil rights? Or one where "human" is used in a more general sense to mean all sapient, anthropomorphic creatures, regardless of their actual species? Kind of like how "Man" can refer to the humanity as a whole? So many questions.

Part 1: The Dream Diary
You sit on the edge of your bed and stare out the window over the city skyline and wonder at the strange turn your life has recently taken. You are even now uncertain if it was merely coincidence or some strange causation that had lead to your recent unease since reading the faded diary of your long deceased relative. True you have not slept well since you first opened the damn book and read the words scrawled over its yellowing pages, but it was not the diary which had brought about your strange dreams…
It had just shown a strange and all together unnerving light on them…
You rub your face and moan, feeling your sleep deprived body creak and groan as you stand up and walk to the kitchen, grabbing a glass and filling it with water. You l

Harp is a character from a universe where the earth hangs in a balancing act with a magic realm. Both the earth and the magic realm rely on the other surviving to survive itself. Humans and magic creatures live in harmony. As far as the humans know, the magic creatures have always been there, despite the fact that humans changed to join the magic creatures.
While Harp, the goddess of the magic realm cares little for human'ss war hungry ways (Not to mention nearly destroying the magic realm.), she has used her magic to change trans people so they can be who they are inside. (Even if that means they end up a magic creature.)

Yeah, magic, as wonderful as it is, is a heavily corrupting force for humans. The only way for it to be used on you in any permanent way is to become a creature that can process magic safely. That being said, magic creatures can be both feral and humanoid.

I like it. Makes it less of a fulfillment fantasy and puts more focus on how what's worthwhile is rarely easy or entirely ideal for everyone.
The T part in LGBT has a huge landfill attached of mediocre, least-effort sci-fi, but this sounds pretty neat.
