She is the only character who never commit a suicide, so her death is harder to see because it's unexplainable, unexcepted and unstoppable by any mean.
It's a bit long to be call a jumpscare but I indeed jump back when I see it. It was scarier than Resident evil 2 for me.

Yeeeeesss, it feels like the longest game ever at start that's why I think you need to have someone to hype it for you before you start playing, cause honestly it gets so good by the end, it's a shame to miss out because you didn't grit your teeth through the doki doki waifu part!

EXACTLY!! Like whenever steam recommended me those anime girls dating sims I cringed so hard, and at first this looked exactly like that so I should definitely thank you for the hype. I'll make sure to do the same thing if someone asks me for a good horror rec, like sorry dead space/silent hills/the evil within but..... this anime girl dating sim is the new example of horror mastery :/

Steam recommendations are just something else. I remember looking at saints row 3 there and getting recommended some "feminazi game" and going like ..... what in the actual hell.
And this may shock you, but I did not actually like the evil within that much. I felt it was a little predictable for me, but I'm still thinking of playing the second one so maybe my opinion will change after that! And I've only tried the last resident evil games (which are the worst from what I've heard), so it should not surprise anyone that I'm not the biggest fan on the franchise. Biohazard was supposed to be a great game, but by that time I was already a little burned out lol

I'm definitely biased when it comes to games made by Mikami Shinji, resident evil 4 was one of the first games I ever got into and it's very dear to me. I loved the evil within's characters quite a lot, both in the original and the sequel, and I can guarantee that the sequel definitely fixed a lot of the mechanics. Though I get what you mean about the plot being predictable, it still stays that way but we get a lot of character development and backstory of which I adore.

I also started playing the resident evil franchise with Operation Raccon City, so maybe my distaste for the series was partly my fault for not trying the good stuff first

maybe I'm just completely stuck on re cause I love some of the early games so much. Can't help it tho, it's just so nostalgic for me! And you might like it or not but I personally enjoyed it a whole lot

hey, there's nothing bad about enjoying them! Even if I thought the earlier games were bad (which I can't say because I haven't played them), that wouldn't mean I would look down on anyone for liking them. Hell, I remember playing Heavy Rain and thinking it was the peak of gaming back then, and even though I find it deeply cringe worthy now it's still one of my fave gaming memories haha

yeah everyone has their preferences and stuff and I think it's awesome how some games manage to mean so much to some people. In the end it's all about what you personally enjoy, for me resident evil is about hiding in my room with my sister and screaming at the top of our lungs at zombies and panicking and all that nice stuff ;')

I dropped the series after the first one, so I wouldn't exactly be the best person to help you there. But I definitely heard the new one was upping the quality of the franchise, and it's also set on ancient egypt and that alone makes me a bit curious honestly

The part that i dislike the most about them, or what keeps me from playing them again, is how they always have the same monotone mechanics and boring side missions. I could barely deal with the amount of tedious side missions on inquisition, let alone on a game where I don't have to impress any fictional characters :/
