Description
*cackles* At last, its finished! The start date on this, 14 feb, is just when I started colouring it on the computer. I don't date most of my pictures so who knows when I actually started the first sketch for it. So needless to say it has taken me quite a while to finish this. The sky, sea, and skin I did while my style was being one way, then it suddenly changed quite a bit. With my style changed I then finally did the hair (I had originally stopped because I couldn't figure out how to do the hair with my previous colouring style), the eye, and the hills, though I'm still not happy about how the hills are. Not too happy with the moon either.
The stars are actually a specific constellation, and I didn't make up the locations of any of the stars, I looked at a star chart and put them in the place that they were on there.
In the sketch that swirly thing that is over the figure was meant to have a light centred at it, to kinda obscure that area, however it didn't really work in colouring because it would have been too bright and detracted form the rest.
This is my first time actually paying attention to lighting in a picture! *gasp!* Mostly on the skin.
I might also provide an eye close up later, because although you can't see it, I made the eye swirly n.n
Edit: Now cropped and more viewable.

Awesome. You went from soft shading to flat cell? Or did you only decide to do flat cell shading on the hair to make it look... like hair...? ...never mind.

Soft shading to flat cell, pretty much yep. And then I went back to soft shading again, such a fickle muse I have.
