I'm not quite sure what this is a photograph of. It looks just identical to artwork created by a famous op artist named Bridget Riley, so is it just a photograph of one of her works, or did you create this patterned illusion somehow yourself? Its very trippy. I've always liked her work and create a lot of stuff that has a similar optical illusion of movement using patterned lines.

well I don't know the artist Bridget Riley and it's for sure not a copy of someone's artwork.
I created the background in photoshop, made a printout and positioned the white magnet on it.

Thank you. I'm glad you responded because I was really interested in knowing the answer. I was confused after reading the description as to whether it was a photo of an actual piece done by Riley, or a design you created that was in her style. It's interesting that you created this even though you've never heard of bridget riley or probably never seen her artwork either. She was part of an art movement called op art that was famous for creating art with optical illusion. Here is a few pieces by bridget riley: [link] if you scroll down to caract 3, I would say thats the closest to your piece out of the ones displayed on this web site, although I've seen quite a few that are even more similar to your's. Even in Cataract 3 you can see a striking similarity in design and in the optical illusion of movement, which is what she was well known for. If your interested, here is a piece that I did that also has an optical illusion of movement: [link] Anyway, this is probably way more than you wanted to know, but I thought I would give you an explanation as to why I questioned you about it, especially considering I very rarely compare somebody's artwork to somebody else's, especially somebody famous, because it takes away from the uniqueness and individuality of that person's art, and your art is certainly very unique and amazing, which is why I added probably like 15 pieces of your photography to my favorites.

i remember the time, we had to realize such optical-art pictures in school, all too well 'twas fun to play with lines, and create effects with them. A wonderful Shot marion, i like the way it moves when u stare at it !
