The Saithesain-class is a civilian construction with some use in luxurious personal transport, but also in large numbers used as small science vessels in terms of the interest groups the Nymphs society is strongly based on. A lot of scientific groups have limited ressources or too small fields of interest to use the goverment owned capital ships and institutes - and raraley the will nor the govermental permission to join FS-science joint ventures.

The Saithesain, named for a higly adaptable but now extinct sea creature that literally can be translatet to 'root-seeker', is a slim, fast and versatile craft with a remarkable low offensive potential. Beside the basic trading ships of the Federarted Systems it runs no weaponary, just a quite good shield system and a number of scientific field emitters that possibly can be used to interrupt enemy sensors.

The ships lenght is 75 meters, its widths is 60,2 meters and the high with wings is 14,5 meters.

The multible reinforced hull serves very close operations to hostile enviroments like non-urbanised planetsites and asteroid fields. As a rare thing, the Saithesain have non-gravimetrical thruster to manouver without interfering with the possible object of observation. On the cockpit as well as on the central living/wirking room the ship has non-digital windows for passive observation. It may be also for the Nymphs great love for the beauty of ther enviroment, which came with a bit of naive imprudence - no matter if field-structure-reinforced or not.

Another interesting design criteria is the multi-atmospheric ability to operate propper from space to high pressure of gas planets or liquid water.
The ship class is not popular for other races by the very tricky and situation-adaptive controls, where the FS uses highly automised ships and plug&play software. For the Nymphs piloting and scientific research are aspects of art and must be seen this way.

Landed the ship normaly fload on a tight, well isolated magentic pressure field, but could also stand on ther wings and nose without harm for the structure - but maybe it will be a bit distrurbing to operate with two different gravimetrical zeros.

The ship can be outfitted with 2-8 spheric drones of 1,25m to support resarch tasks. For the luxoury version primarily there is a younger security drone, able to passivly harm enemys by interfere ther engine function, but more important - able to spot and hinder threats long enough the ship can use its enoumous acceleration and manouverability to leave the danger behind.

For sure the ship has a very compact and reliable jump engine, even if the most ships prefer additional space before adding excessive speed to ther drive. For political reasons the most ships run comercial FS jump drives with Alon-K as one of five big manufactures and the one that made the most semi-comercial contract.

As sign of groups/rich owners individuality, the ships almost always have distinct color shemes, and not rarely such that painfully harms the humans eye. One of the rare points the Nymphs deviate from ther normal, overly accommodating behavior. They also don't name ther ships and seem to understand the practice as barbaric, but inevitable to call the ships by number code on communication with the FS. It is often seen as snotty behavior to insist on number codes by dealing with 'barbarians' they do not respect. Between Nymphs the ships identity is named after the color combination(and also often a interfering combination of pattern and color as well - a vital and confusing langauge). Humans often think of this is a strong limitation of possible ship names. As the Nymphs have a bit different eyes than humans, and way more words for colors - it is not.

*Nymphs: a human word choosen by the race for itselve as they officially meet the Federated Systems. They philosopically belive everyone wear a number of masks in interaction with others, which is halve a social defense strategy and halve respect in front of the others. The choosen word is such a mask. As many xeno-anthropologysts belive this race haven't completley understand the meaning of this choosen word and some of its implications, some others think that's exactly what the 'Nymphs' intended to. For reasons of geting underestimated, or to showcase a true mindset will secure eternal debate.
