Description
This is something totally different from my other photos, to be honest. It's very snapshot-ish and actually has no meaning at all. But I was playing with camera settings and this one is barely edited, I even shot in the Monochrome-Mode on my camera. I was trying to set up a portrait without much surrounding and a theme, it was just ... about Karina and her face.I hope you don't mind that I submit a shot like this to my normal gallery, but I'll maybe scrap it later.

It's my brothers girlfriend and we both, my brother and me, agree that she is a beautiful girl. She thinks she's ugly and fat ... ffff.
I'll maybe use her as a model some time ... we'll see.

Naww... She should have more faith in herself.. her features are quite intriguing, when you look at her fully, like.
I think it's great how we immediately get the sense that this is a snapshot like piece, so the spontaneity is emphasised in that respect... I like the lighting and how the black and white contrast accentuates the shades further, but it also strengthens the whole.. light atmosphere to things? I feel that could reflect her personality and whatnot.

To the lighting, I discovered a new thing I can do when the sun is burning like fire, I just put it on top of my lense just as these things that you can buy for your lense (I honestly never thought of doing this before

i love the lighting in this, it really makes her eyes pop even in the b&w. also, her expression is great- tough but lovely

it's this movie about an arts history teacher coming to a rich girls school. The girls are obsessed with getting married so they read about everything that's gonna be taught in class and prove to the teacher that they're so smart. So the teacher shows them other stuff, like a stone picture, then a picture she drew for her mother and then she shows them a snapshot of her mother. Then she asks, "is this art?" One girl says "It's not art until someone says it is" , so the teacher says "It's art!". Then she says that nobody could tell us what to like and what not to like, and anything can be art to us and nobody can judge us. It was such an influencing movie...

i oddly like it. the lack of the background actually accentuates her face and natural features. she is a beautiful and i hope she figures that out sooner or later. I think you should make a gallery totally devoted to this type of work, its another side of photography i think you'd be able to get amazing shots out of!
