For this one I used cotton crochet/knittig thread - this type: 1.bp.blogspot.com/-tAQmujJUheY…

I've been working my butt of on this project because it is really cool! Mine's different colors of course, and I have another design picked out for the body, but this tutorial is great! I found it on Pinterest - a lot of people were pinning it, but I don't think many of them were actually making it, lol.

This tutorial is awesome and really easy to follow. I started to do the pouch but when I got to the part where you combine the flower's leaves together (picture 2), I found out that either my knots were too loose or yarn was too thick because the center wouldn't straighten up. So my question is that can I do this pouch with only six petals in the beginning or will it mess up the whole pattern?

6 should do as well as 7, just make it the way it is straight, just insert as much petals as you need

How do you keep that black string from sliding back down? In picture 7. I've knotted it but it won't stay up.

nimuae In reply to tbsnbubblegum [2013-05-17 15:59:01 +0000 UTC]

It somehow stayed up, but you could also try to add it with another kind of knot.

I ended up just pushing it up and clipping it on my clipboard after I made the petal. Could be the floss vs. Yarn thing. Thanks for replying.

ahhhhh.... the nostalgia of childhood knotting!! I made all kinds of patterns in mine, constantly creating the diamonds, expanding to more and more strands... Never even THOUGHT of this!! I know this is in me some where but the ADD in me gives up WAY before I get to this point! So going to the store now! This is AMAZING! You got talent girl!

it would be amazing to have a video to go along with this. I know that would be pretty time consuming but if you could show just the main transitions through video it would be a HUGE help! But I really can't wait to try this!

No chance...this would be a 3-weeks movie...I'm sorry...and I'm not able to invest another month into this project...

Maybe this can help you: [link]

Hello... I'm making the pouch and I have a question.
How long are the new threads (grey, blue, red, green)? Are they 150 cm too?
