Description "After all, you're just a puppet in my hands."

I explained all stuff regarding prompts and challenge here .

Prompt #6 - Turn a character into puppet

Again, obvious choice of characters. I can’t wait to show about Bartek’s and Hubert’s relationship.
I think I drew Hubert way too many times during this past two weeks. (On the other hand, it would turn into another Ernestfest) But that's OK, I need to establish characters anyway.

Bartek looks kinda cute in a puppet form? 0-0 IDK, I drew him like this, looked at him and damn, he looks surprisingly cute considering his character. It's probably the shapes' fault as Bartek has triangular face and more angular shapes. I thought about making him into more complex puppet with joints (a little bit like Ball Jointed Dolls) and movable facial features. But that would multiply the amount or strings at least twice, force Hubert to use both hands and stand up. The following things would occur: either 1) Hubert's upper half would be cut (and I wanted to make him clearly visible) 2) Hubert is standing behind the scene, full-body shot but Bartek would be too small and all details would be lost.
Turning him into sock puppet or Sesame Street puppet was also tempting (might do it someday).
I decided to turn him into simple, fabric puppet with wooden head, hands and feet (a little bit like these ). I put him on regular stage with wooden floor and hip-height background curtain. I chose dark green colour to compliment overall redness in Bartek's design. I am really happy how the shadows turned out.

Materials used: Rotring Tikky Graphic 0.2 fine-liner, Rystor 0.1 fine-liner, Faber Castell Classic Colour coloured pencils, 2B pencil.
