I'm sorry, but as you asked me to help you improve I have to point out the flaws. I like the armor, btw.
Anyway, it looks like you didn't get the correct proportions in your construction sketch, as they are quite messed up. The head's too big, the hand's too small and the shoulder position looks odd. Besides, the spear handle is too thin.
I suggest you look here on DA for tutorials about human anatomy, or get a book about anatomy for artists, just to get familiar with basic proportions. For a warrior like this, the whole body (including head) should be 8 heads tall, while in your drawing it's about 4 and 1/2.
