Description
Most of the character designs in this sketchdump are from my tumblr (since I still can't get to my computer where I have stored most of the original files for them).So if you are interested in a bigger version of some of the sketches you'll probably find it there.
An exception are the clothing designs for the dancers (those and the Undertale fanart are the most recent of the sketches included in this sketchdump).
Most of the sketches included in this sketchdump are actually still from Summer in 2015 but there are also a few from this Winter.
I'll most likely upload a sketchdump with traditional drawings sometime soon too, since I did quite a lot of those since I started University.
Oh and I would love to hear, what you think about the character/clothing designs included in here and if you'd like to see more stuff like this from me.

Interesting characters, uw. I really like the colours of the first picture (in the v left) and the blueish one. And woa, so many details wth., thats soo kuhl. In some cases, as for example the pic in the middle, alst row, the anatomy could be a little more precise, you know what I mean ?

These are all so nice! You clearly have a good understanding of shading and shapes. I'm especially a fan of your color choices. They all work really well together, and personally I'm a fan of desaturated colors. I really like how you managed to capture the movement in the middle sketch with the girl in three outfits. She looks like completelyΒ immersedΒ in the dance, and the clothing designs are great. The character designs are really nice too. The little android boy is adorable, especially with that lookΒ on his face. I think my favorite is Margarit the Alchemist. Her face is very expressive, and she seems to be a strong character. She's make a very interesting character in a story.
It's difficult to really give any points of critique, since these are all unfinished drawings. Maybe you could consider playing a bit more with contrast in the coloring: hot-cold, saturated-non saturated, light-dark etc. Also, you seem to mostly go for analogous color palettes.Β It might be nice to use more complimentary colors, to draw the eye of the viewer to certain details.Β

Thanks a lot for your comment, I mainly submitted this to the group in order to get some opinions on the design stuff (since it doesn't matter as much if those aren't fully fleshed out drawings).
So I'm really happy that you wrote something about those :3
I actually already started to try to diversify my colour schemes since I also realised that the got a bit err.. uninteresting/repetitive (I don't really know how to describe it). When I looked through my older sketches (mostly from 2013) for my new art blog, I realised that I used to use really colourful palates for my drawings. Somehow this got a bit lost during the last school year where I couldn't really find the time to draw.

I think the main reason, that my choice of colours changed is that I got a second display (my brothers old one) and I started using that as my main display. The new one displays colours really saturated, since it's only very roughly calibrated (well and I didn't really notice that there is such a huge difference in colour display until now).

Oh yes, I wouldn't be able to paint at all with my laptop if I didn't have an external display since my laptop display is pretty horrible.

Even though they're all separate sketches, some of which are almost complete pieces, and one must assume done separately, the color schemes all fit together. They all have somewhat of an understated, desaturated sort of tone. Even though the colors are understated, they are beautiful, and I think you chose your colors really well. Even though these are just sketches, the coloring is almost like silk.
My two favorite sketches are the purple character design, the one of the white haired girl and her 3 different costumes. I love the costumes, especially the one with the purple skirt. The skirt is beautiful with then little tassels, I love her top, and I think it really goes well with her color scheme; standing out while also harmonizing with the rest of her. The middle one actually looks like something I might wear. I especially love the top on that one with the lotus petal sleeves and the stitching on the bust. I would have chosen a different color for her top because I think it looks too similar to her skin tone.
And my second favorite is the girl in the bamboo forest. It looks almost complete, and I love how you did the trees/forest as green silhouettes. Nice atmospheric perspective on the trees in the background, I always have trouble with that.Β

They were all done separate, some are even from summer last year and therefore already quite old.
I'm glad that you like my choice of colours, it's actually one of my favourite parts in painting to play around with them.
Even though I don't really know why I always end up with quite desaturated colours nowadays, I think I should try something more saturated again.
Oh and the top was originally actually more blueish (you can see still see it on one of the sleeves), but that kind of got lost somehow.
The bamboo forest girl is actually one of the least finished sketches in there, since I still need to put a lot of work into the character until it looks good to me (e.g. the hands)

Coloring is really fun to play around with. While I love to do saturated color, I think there's something really atmospheric, and it gives some sort of feeling when you make the colors a little desaturated. I think it looks cool, but it's always nice to experiment.
Maybe the bamboo girl looks more finished because she has a background.
