This is a really beautiful photograph. The placement of her face is great; the slightly off-center focus helps create an interesting focal point, and there's a nice balance between negative and positive space. I also like how she's looking away from the camera; it helps create interest in the piece.

The lighting is also great, although it might be a little more dramatic if there was a little more contrast between light and dark; having some more whites in there would probably make it pop a little more.

Beautifully taken. I love the oh so light shadows beneath her eyes and her hair. Another shot that is great in B&W

This friend of yours is amazing at looking somber, exiled, and heartbroken. Oo; You don't even need to see her eyes to get the mood she is conveying. Or, appearing to convey from my perception.
