Updated the colors;

I made a diGITAL PAINTING and ain't it hella weird

I tried to mix the concepts of Slavic spirits, namely Rusalka and Mavka , and a will-o'-wisp (this one is not Slavic). Rusalki/Mavki are female spirits who died a tragic death, usually from drowning or being drowned or murdered. They are a bit evil, preying on young men. They also lack a shadow and sometimes the back of their bodies. The will-o'-wisps can be lost souls or fairy lights telling you to avoid the marshes, depends on what folktale you are listening to. Nowadays the phenomena is explained by chemical luminescence produced in reactions where organic matter decays. All those come together in some kind of wetland, obviously. But since I like gore-y undertones I had to cut my girl's head off. Sorry... Maybe she was murdered for being a witch, and as an un-christened person turned into a spirit? Only the skull remains of her head, while her body is intact because of the low-oxygen conditions in the mud. Yay science!
