Description
Title comes from my favorite line in the Magic Knight Rayearth II manga. (hehe)
Anyways, this pic of Hikaru and Rayearth from Magic Knight Rayearth has been sitting around on my comp as a WIP for a few years.. some of you may remember it being in the WIP dump I put in my scraps a while back. Weeeelllll I decided to finish it, so ,um, here it is! (LOL)
This was my first manga and I really wanted to do something in tribute to it, thus this was born. Depending on how crazy I am, I may decide to do one of Umi and Fuu too.... we'll see
On an unrelated note: This was my first time using realism/semi realism.... I think I spent too much time on Hikaru's face and not enough time on Rayearth's.... oh well, it still turned out good so no harm done.
I tried to make Rayearth look glowy like the spirit-beast he is... buuuuut... hmmmm....
Oh, yah.... Did I forget to mention this was done in one layer? (Wellllll... I cheated a bit for the lighting effects and some of the flames, but still)
Done in Paint Tool SAI.
Time: appx. 10 hours. (speedy for me LOL)

I really love how you painted the overall illustration, especially her dress (the bottom ! omg omg) I also love how you work the hand and the light on it, you really nailed it !(uh, is that even the right idiom? XD)
One thing that I like less is the light on her cheek (at the left), she looks a bit chubby-cheeked. Also I think that the upper part of her body doesn't lean enough to the "insert name here"-dog (I'm so ashamed, I forgot its name XD). Here a quick correction to illustrate what I meant [link]
