Description
A screech cut through the sky as the two Talonflame/Charizards returned. Phantom looked up just in time to see Nero and Sky land on the ground and walk up to alert Phantom of what was going on with the Rarity Swablu and Altaria.“They appear to be getting sucked into some kind of Machine Phantom! It’s really weird.” Nero blurted out to Phantom, it was obvious he was worried seeing as he couldn’t stand still. Sky rolled her eyes at her relative and nodded at Phantom.
“It’s true. Some team like Team Aqua is behind it too, but I have no idea who they are.”
Phantom fixed her hat as her Pokemon told her the news. She nodded and smiled up at them.
“Thank you. I bet you two would like to get out of this rain. I’ll round up some Pokemon to help me out while you two go rest.”
The two fire birds looked at each other, then nodded and walked into the castle while Phantom let a grin spread across her face.
-------------------------
A loud shriek was cut off short by the loud overwhelming crack of thunder as Phantom clung desperately to the back of her Talonflame Red who was out flying for the first time in a long time. He was quite timid, sadly for Phantom, and he did not like thunder and lightning that much.
“Red c’mon buddy! You’re almost there!” Phantom tried her best to keep the Talonflame moving, but the moment he got himself together another lightning bolt cracked through the sky and scared him. It wasn’t until one cut dangerously close that Phantom was thrown off the panicked bird’s back. Phantom looked up at her Pokemon from above, Red looking embarrassed that he had dropped his trainer before the embarrassment cut to fear. Phantom reached her hand out trying to grab hold of something, but there was nothing. At least not until a bright flash of light swooped down out of nowhere, slowly growing bigger and bigger until it had grown into a size large enough to grab Phantom in massive yellow talons. Phantom blinked in surprise, and looked up to see what had rescued her. Sloth, the son of Red and Noragami, looked down at Phantom and let out a birdlike shriek at her. Sloth bent his head down and picked up Phantom in his beaklike muzzle, lifting her up and placing the trainer on his back. Phantom let out a happy sigh of relief, clinging to the back of the newly evolved talonizard. She was happy at least one of the siblings respected her. Even if he was a grump. Sloth looked up at his father with annoyance and let out a shriek, causing the Talonflame to screech and fly away in fear. Phantom sighed quietly. She felt bad for Red. Ever since the incidents between him and Noragami, he’s been a timid bird. She wanted to help but there wasn’t much she could do. Phantom looked down at the pokeballs on her belt, then muttered something to Sloth, the large dragon bird letting out a shriek and flying off after the Rarity Altaria and Swablu.
-------------------------
The scientists at the Team Dim Sun labs grinned as they watched the Altaria and Swablu fill the machine. While still being hard at work, the group surrounding the machine containing the rarities couldn’t help but admire their work. It was so easy! As far as they knew, no trainer suspected a thing seeing as no one’s dropped in to stop their plans.
“Status?” One scientist muttered to another.
“Almost at max capacity, we almost have them al--”
The scientist was quickly cut off by a loud screech and the sounds of breaking glass and claws scraping against the floor. Everyone in the room stumbled back at the sight of a large Charizard/Talonflame screeching angrily at the Dim Sun members in the room. Phantom slipped off the crossbreed’s back and looked at the startled team members.
“Hello~! We’re just here to free some birds. Thats all.” Phantom said with a grin, fixing her security cap and getting the happy sounds of the Swablu and Altaria in response. Sloth stood protectively behind his trainer as he saw grunts surround them.
“Hmph. We’d like to see you try.” The lead scientist growled
“Get rid of them.”
The grunts surrounding Phantom and Sloth threw their Pokeballs, various pokemon like Grimer, Golbat, Koffing, and Poochyena appearing. A couple scientist let their Magneton and Electrode out of Pokeballs as well. Phantom sighed and looked up at Sloth.
“You think you can handle the Magneton and the Electrode buddy?” Phantom asked with a smile. Sloth looked in that direction, flame flaring in his mouth. Once Sloth heard Pokeballs pop open behind him, obviously from Phantom, he let out the largest burst of flame he’d ever done in his life. His flamethrower shot into a Magneton and a few other Pokemon, Sloth signaling he was beginning his onslaught. His entire body lit up with flames and he slammed himself into an Electrode, who was in the middle of charging a thunder. Behind him, Phantom watched cautiously as Snickerdoodle, Scythe of Petals, and Five Bells fought the enemy Pokemon that Sloth wasn’t dealing with. Scythe’s body sparked with electricity as a Discharge erupted from him and struck down a couple golbat. Phantom ran over to the Machine containing the Rarity Altaria and Swablu, picking up an iron bar to break the glass. As she rose the bar to swing, a shadow covered her from behind. A shadow of a massive Muk about to crash down onto her. Snickerdoodle’s eyes widened, then he launched himself forward, shoving Phantom out of the way and receiving the full impact from the Muk’s attempt at a body slam.
“SNICK!” Phantom called out, her eyes wide in horror. The Muk grinned at Phantom, thinking it had won. That is, until three large talons peeked out from under the Muk and it was thrown off. Snickerdoodle’s bigger form rose up, his jaws parting to allow the purple light from a Dragon Pulse to burst from his mouth, sending the Muk colliding into it’s trainer. Snickerdoodle growled and puffed up his chest before seeing Phantom out of the corner of his eye, crawling over to her cautiously and checking to see if she was alright. Phantom smiled at her friend’s new form, petting his head.
“I’m fine! Lets free the Swablu and Altaria while we have the chance.” Phantom said with a grin. Snickerdoodle nodded in agreement and looked at the container holding the Rarities. The rarities looked afraid and unsure of what to do other than struggle and cry away. Phantom could tell the sight made Snickerdoodle upset, but in an angry kind of upset. Snickerdoodle’s claws glowed a deep purple before slamming them into the glass of the machine. His Poison Jab easily cut through the glass, thankfully not hitting anyone in the process. The room was suddenly filled with rain and the sound of chirping as the rarities escaped, putting the grunts and scientists of Team Dim Sun in a panic. Phantom recalled Scythe and Five Bells to their pokeballs, leaping on Sloth’s back before flying out with Snickerdoodle and the rarities. All Phantom heard as she flew out was the angry yelling from the organization’s members as she vanished into the sky with her Pokemon and the rarities.
-------------------------
Later on in the day. The sky had cleared. The rarities had moved on to other places and Snickerdoodle was currently screeching happily to his sister Kitten Soul about evolving while Phantom was congratulating Five Bells and Scythe for fighting so hard as well. Scythe beamed from the praise, his claws unsheathing and digging into the floor while Five Bells blushed and rubbed her hoof on the floor. Scythe’s tail swished and he pounced on Phantom, his body glowing white and growing larger till he too had fully evolved from a Shinx/Torchic to a Luxray/Blaziken. This in turn startled Bells and she ran out of the room from the fairy fusion lion’s sudden evolution. Phantom herself looked shocked as well. Three Pokemon had evolved this trip. It was quite amazing to see. Phantom shrugged her shoulders and let the fairy fusion lick her face, grinning and giggling. Snickerdoodle watched his sister walk out and he looked at his small bed, realizing he wasn't gonna fit there anymore. His ears drooped and he let out a huff of disappointment, plopping down onto his fluffy rear. When Phantom finally managed to drive the lion off, she stood up and looked over at the door. Phantom raised an eyebrow when she saw Dust and Magnan Imus in the door. The two usually never poke their heads around unless Chess was giving them a hard time or they actually needed something.
“Whats up you two?” Phantom asked, standing up and walking out to see them. As Phantom walked out, Snickerdoodle’s ears twitched and he whipped around at the sound of a tap at the window.
“Hello?”
