Description
this is a small tutorial showing you a way of creating abstract stuff in cinema 4d, or c4d for short. What is the advantage in this method against normal modeling you ask? simple, this is faster, since you only use basic shapes, and you can edit way more easier than modeling, since you only need to change an image, or the location of the material, you can also use different materials to experiment and since it isn't limited to the object, you can use the same material on different objects and still get different results (asuming you use different shaped objects of course)
finaly, this isn't suposed to encourage you to abandon abstract modeling all together, you can easaly combine the two, imagine, if you can get this kinda look with just a cube... what kind of look would you get when applied to an allready abstract object?
here is an example of something i did using this method
