I did this for a friend of mine last semester as a sketch and I finally got around to turning it into a digital piece. Its a little different from my usual aesthetic but I felt like it really illustrated his features well.I still have a few more cartoon portraits to do for a few other friends so that's gonna be a thing hopefully.
If you want me to do one for you just like this hit me up.
I charge 5 bucks a pop fully colored and all.

I like this drawing in overall it's simpleness. Though the line art seem to change through out the picture in many areas. It looks like you did line art with an air brush and a normal brush. So it kind of looks funny like that. The straightness in the stripes of the clothing compared to the part that's around the neck look funny, because there's the flat part that looks unrealistic then the other part of it that isn't. Also why is it blurred in some areas? The shading and coloring in every other aspect is great though as well.

Now as for the drawing, I totally agree that it was a mistake to blur out the lines in some areas of the portrait. What I was trying to do was experiment with creating a depth of field effect which blurred the areas around the face so that the viewer's eye would be guided to the models eyes. Looking back though I think it was a bad move simply because it was too excessive and it kind of harmed one of my fortes which is the emphasize on line art.
As for the pattern o the shirt I also agree. and I'll make sure to keep in mind to make sure everything is cohesive and consistent.
