Description Belated, but better late than never hurrhurr. Oh hey, I gave digital a try for once. Doesn't look as bad as I thought it would. Though I'd say my only issue is inking, but my coloring isn't too bad. Just gotta keep layer and layering and layering...

Anyway, this was from a drawing I did several weeks before July 25. I didn't get around to coloring it until today (which took from early this morning to 2 in the afternoon, dohoho), especially with how busy I've been. I might do this only once in a while though since it's so time consuming.

The tastiness of the character has that effect on people.

Glad you like it!

Ehhhh it's Takagi's birthday? OMG NOO I MISSED IT ;___;

I'm glad you drew a pic for his birthday :3. This looks awesome! Takagi-soda <3. This is really good for first time digital, layers is ftw xD.

I like how the glass is painted, it really looks like his body is submerged in the water inside the frosted glass.

Well, the 25th was Takagi's VA's birthday, but I noticed some Japanese fans mark that as his own since they both share the same name.

Thank you though! It was a difficult opportunity to pass up, even on heavy post-surgery drugs, hahaha. The glass is one of my favorite parts, particularly the frosty coloring. That took...three layers to colors, actually. ;;

Your coloring is fantastical; I couldn't do better if I tried.

Thank you thank you thank you '3'~ I was pretty skeptical as to how it would come out. Usually with enough determination and dogged hard work, anything is possible.

On an unrelated note, I went to Otakon today (dad paid someone 10 bucks to give him his ticket as the dude was leaving) and saw two girls dressed up as Lupin III and Jigen. They even had cigarettes. :3

How was Otakon (I'm just replying to stuff now before I leave in two days)?

I've heard there's some pretty good cosplay at that con in particular. Did you manage to get a picture of the two? :3

I just went there for the Dealer's Room, really. I got a bottle necklace with silver glitter inside of it, and a Final Fantasy XII pendant for my neighbor.

The cosplayers honestly weren't that good. They had accurate outfits but didn't have the correct build. For example, the girl who was cosplaying Lupin was too obviously a female because of her build and to a lesser extent, the lack of hairy hands. The person cosplaying Jigen was a short Asian girl.

I'm extremely anal about cosplays. Luckily I didn't think or say any of this to them.

That's really good for a first time at digital, especially with the colors. The lines aren't too bad, although it's a bit rouge at the bottom part of the glass. I do like how the character and pose came out though,

Thanks, I'm never sure when it comes to technology. I think I tried one or two times four years ago, but they never came out well, so I was really happy with this.

I THINK IT LOOKS BEAUTIFULLLL and you should 110% do digital more!!

did you draw it straight into the program or ink over a pencil sketch? if you're having trouble inking, and you did the prefer, you should try inking a pencil sketch since you're used to drawing with pencil.

Thanks bby~

The original is a pencil sketch that I went over in Photoshop. I've heard one can ink smoother using Overlay on pencil sketches though. I remember seeing a coloring tutorial on how to do it.
