Description
Woo I didn't procrastinate at all on this picture, though I feel like I was a little late getting a partner for this art trade.Anyway drawn for the 6th task for its an art trade featuring Shiik an OC by
for this task we were supposed to show our OC's doing something they enjoy and sharing that with your partners OC (and their reaction to it.). Since Julian's life is super stressful he really enjoys moments where he gets to chill with his friends (Savanna on the left and Isis on the right) and watch movies and play video games.
I'd like to imagine that while hunting Julian accidentally opened a portal that allowed Shiik into our world and Juliana reaction to that was "you know until I find a way to open the portal again you can just hang out with me." and so Julian set out to introduce Shiik to the world, and by the world I mean playing video games. XD Since Shiik is from a fantasy realm/ world he'd have no clue what any of these things were which explains whats going on in the picture.
It was really fun drawing shiik especially his sword.

I love scenarios where people from fantasy worlds end up in a modern realm, so very confused by technology.
This is awesome. Everyone looks great!

A really love what you did with this! He looks so confused! But for anyone from a fantasy realm video games and TVs would be quite a shock. It made me smile.

I love how they all are a bit confused. I bet there were so many hilarious situations at that hang out.
Very nice scene, it shows that you put a lot of effort into this work. Especially their figures are wonderfully done, and I love Shiik's expression. XD It seems though you kind of lost it with perspective, it feels a bit like the room is done isometric style and the hall is 1-point perspective. Try adding a layer for perspective grid in future, it helps a lot especially with interiors

lol yeah I could probably draw a short comic on just this concept and it would be hilarious!
Yeah I have very little experience, understanding of perspective, it's like one of my major week points as an artist. like some of the words you used just now, I don't even know what they mean ( mostly what is isometric style and 1-point perspective.) sadly the program I use doesn't have a built in perspective grid that would be hella useful though.

There are plenty tutorials on perspective online, from what I recommend:
Perspective + Composition Pt.1 and the second part
Nsio explains: Perspective
The Perspective Tutorial
Overall it's not hard, and if you have any program that uses layers, you can draw the grid by yourself using just shift+pencil tool. It's also easy on paper, all you need is a ruler or a string. If you ever feel lost, try drawing from photos first and finding where are focal points, it helps a lot to understand this whole perspective thing.
