The inspiration for this pic came to me when I had a conversation with the artist who made both characters when I had assumed that both of them were somewhat twins and I wondered what would it be like if Yuki and Riley were two separate characters instead of them being the same character with minor changes done.

The moment when I saw the pic itself, I just had to do this picture.

This pic took me almost two days to make, considering that it was quite simiple to do.

In this pic, I imagine Yuki as being Riley's somewhat younger twin sister, considering her freckles and the way her teeth looked, she kind of had a youthful like appearance compared to Riley who I imagine as the older sibling.

The relationship between the two is that Yuki loves her own twin sister while Riley does not.

As the creator of both characters had said about what it would've been like if they were both separate characters, Riley would most likely want to kill Yuki because she annoys her or something, considering that Riley is different from Yuki.

Here's a little short story I've made to go with it.

Yuki: Hello Riley! *Proceeds to give Riley a big hug*

Riley: Oh dear god!

Yuki: It's always a pleasure to meet my older twin sister!

Riley: *getting irritated* What are you doing Yuki?

Yuki: I just wanted to give you a big hug!

Riley: Yuki, if you don't let go of me this instant, I am going to kill you!

Yuki: You wouldn't kill your own younger twin sister, would you?

Riley: I will, if you don't get off of me.

The irritated zigzag cloud line above Riley's head and her temper marks clearly emphasizes that she is getting annoyed by Yuki being so close to her and rubbing her face against hers.

It's to help show how the two are basically different from each other.

Why does Riley resent her younger sister? What is it about Yuki that Riley can't stand about? Who knows.

Perhaps it is because that Yuki annoys her with her happy cheery personality and the way she hugs her and rubs her face too close.

It could be that she can't understand why Yuki is able to keep a positive mind in all of the troubles and dangers that goes on in their lives, considering that they are living in a world where poltergeists, supernatural teleporting omnipotent beings, mythical gods and giant monsters exist.

But I think that the most likely reason why is that Yuki has a fake replacement eye in her left eye socket while Riley has nothing but a bleeding eye socket.

Or maybe it's because they both share the same codename for their proxy aliases, "The Follower".

The way I see them, they may look similar to each other but they have differences that make them stand apart from each other.

Yuki has a more cheery like personality while Riley has a more serious personality.

Yuki has freckles on her face while Riley has clear skin.

Yuki wear brighter colors to symbolize her cheerful personality and youthful nature while Riley wears darker colors to symbolize her serious personality and older nature.

Yuki has a replacement eye to replace the one she had lost while Riley has doesn't.

They are basically opposites of each other if I say so myself.

If they weren't wearing their masks, you would think that they had both switched outfits with each other to give the allusion that they are basically the opposite characters.

If Riley hates Yuki so much, why doesn't she just kill her? Who knows.

Perhaps it's because she hasn't found the oppotunity to do so.

Maybe it's because Slendey told her not to for obvious reasons.

Or it's likely because Yuki is the only family she's left, so someone has to look after her.

Riley may not like Yuki, but she is still her twin.

If you were to ask me which do I like, I kind of like both of them to be honest.

Yes, I am aware that Yuki is basically the old design of Riley, I wanted to see what it would be like if they were two separate characters. Think of this as a alternate universe like concept where they are both basically twins.

You may be asking "Will you draw both of these characters again someday in the future?" Well it depends. I might draw Riley again in the future, but if I were to draw both of them again someday, I would basically do it for the LOLs.
