Description
Departure from what i usually do...taken many moons ago over the skies of austin, texas.I enhanced the contrast and gave a slight boost to the saturation, but the original print is very old and faded, so the color is close to being true. I do remember the day I took this...how eerie and still it felt outside with the unnatural color making me wonder if this was the end of the world. As with many sky photos, this just doesn't capture the vastness of the sky and the humility nature forces upon us.
Canon FTb

Are you sure you wern't listening to Jimi Hendric, Purple Haze when you took this?? They even had film then, boy!!! I like how thepurple goes towards the light giving it a concave, circular look, and then the tele lines give it a foreground...

it's very possible i'd been listening to Jimi Hendrix, Purple Haze...that song was my assistant's (Matthew Brady) favorite tune; he swore up and down that film would never catch on, but he was wrong...

GOD!
That is some amazing sky!!! It had that color, sweetheart?! Geezzz... Wonder what could have caused it, I too would have thought the world had come to an end!
It is however very very beautiful like this, but as you say, the actual feeling we have when watching some strange happening like this, is hard to get through in a photo, especially when of a sky... Who could capture the feeling of a stary night?!
Wonderful as always, honey
