My mother always tells me "don't let the dark crows sit on your head" meaning, don't let negative thoughts take root and destroy you. Just chase them away. Although that's probably not at all the symbolism behind this, but that's what it remind me of.

Is this the concept of the death of innocence by corruption and darkness? Is this the dying moment of light in the company of darkness?
This image raises several interesting questions for me, and the colours are gorgeous. The red of the blood is eyepopping, the ravens look like living shadows, and the unicorn reminds me of a spirit of the moon, left to wander the earth until expiring, lost and pained, beneath a starless sky in the company of hungry death.
