Description
Another infrared scene from Koh Kood, Thailand.Available sizes for download:
1680x1050 (via the full view button)
1280x1024 (via the download button)
1024x768 (via the download button)
Video walkthrough: [link] showing the following steps:
1. Using the ruler tool (press I until it's selected) I fixed the crooked horizon (after the ruling tool, click on Image - Image Rotation - Arbitrary and the correct value is already inserted) and cropped the image afterwards.
2. I auto-adjusted the levels of the whole image (Image - Adjustments - Levels - Auto). Since I use this function very often I created a shortcut for it. That's why you don't see the levels dialogue.
3. With the feathered marquee tool I auto-adjusted parts of the image separately.
4. I reduced the saturation of magenta tones.
5. The dark top left corner was brightened with the dodge tool
6. Minor adjustments of the curves.

Very well done, this is my favorite type of IR shot. It's just stunning.
Thanks for providing the video, I couldn't tell what you were doing with the marquee tool until I read the description. Using auto levels is a new way of working for me, I'll have to give it a shot. Thanks.
