Wanted to draw Calhoun pupper so gave it a shot over the past few days. unfortunately, I didn't have much access to reference while I was doodling these, BUT, I think this is basically how I want her.I don't like to use specific breeds for these anymore, since it can detract from the character's look, but she's somewhat of an uncropped doberman.
Also, did my best to figure out their sizes, and in doing so realized Felix's head is too small, but I'll fix it in the future! Uh, no pun intended.

I don't know...maybe it's because I'm used to seeing people depict her as a doberman with black fur that the yellow fur seems a bit off to me. XD
But I'm glad you finally got 'round to draw the two! And because I'm not going to spam you on both this and the Felix pupper pages, I'm gonna say it now here: you drew the both of them perfectly, I can totally see them in their forms! Hope you get around to draw the rest of the WIR gang as well!!!!

Ohhh! Yeah I try to match the fur to the hair color, since...well, dogs don't have hair anyway, but if they DID, it'd be very weird for it not to match the rest of the hair on their body. xD There are white dobermans, and "fawn" dobermans, so I figured she's somewhere in the middle.

Yeah, dogs don't have hair...not when their owners decide not to tamper with their fur anyway.

White dobermans are very pretty!! And hey, they can be dyed blonde, right?
But this is all why I don't usuallyΒ base them on real breeds anymore, because this kind of thinking gets in the way.

Yeah, I kinda agree on that. People based their designs on the personalities of the animal counterparts instead of their appearances, which really puts a limitation on this. The characters can be drawn more accurately with this thinking.

Yeah! I used to do it the other way, but I felt like I lost the character in favor of dog caricatures, so, I'm working on fixing that!

Yeah, when you draw them based on breeds, it's not quite clear who is who. But how with how you draw them it is instantly clear. Yeah, different breeds will be interesting, but it also takes away some of the original character.

I ABSOLUTELY AGREE, but I couldn't come up with anything I could easily re-draw/replicate, especially with her in motion, so I settled for her collar, which I imagine is a whole bunch of gadgets, like Brain's from inspector Gadget. xD
