Description
NOTE! If you want an slightly larger version of these pictures, or ones that just aren't sharpened, just ask! The originals for these are around 3600+, and I'll probably send you something a bit larger if you want it.
I will however be reserving the largest sizes for people who buy the right to use them. Not that I expect anyone to do that, frankly. It's also there as an insurance policy in case someone reposts them elsewhere.
Taken at: Rowel Ranch Rodeo, Castro Valley CA.
Read the rules in my journal if you wish to use this image. If you understand them and still wish to use this then please leave me a note/comment/etc so that I can know.
Note:
And finally new pictures. Sadly I wasn't ring side, though I did have a decent seat, so not all of these are very good. I cut out the worst and am only posting the ones I felt would be of use. Also, since my journal is acting up I wanted to say this - if you guys are interested in these I'll buy tickets to the Livermore Rodeo in a few weeks and get more. Completely up to you all, however.
Probably the scariest moment when it came to the horses, there were a few close calls with the riders with one needing an EMT. Don't worry, the horse was fine and trotted off seconds later - and I don't doubt they corralled it and had a vet check it over once they went back into the stock pens.

Indeed. He was alright though, I didn't post it because it seemed redundant but the very next photo I took was of him trotting away with no limp. My biggest hope is that they got him to the vet after he left the arena, especially since they took at least ten minutes to talk about animal welfare in the middle of the event and how much the owners love their animals.

Most likely not, if they loved their animals why put them through this, it causes much stress to them and often times injury which they leave untreated, or death.....Β

True, you make a very good point. I would hope that these animals live like kings most of the time between shows, but that sadly is not going to be the case most often. Again, I do hope the horse was taken to the vet but without being on the staff for this event I will never know.

Yeah it's pretty sad what they are putΒ through for our "entertainment" and you can only hope that they take care of their animals.

Indeed. Though thinking back that display they did in the middle of the show felt very staged, but hindsight is 20/20. I guess because I used to know an Animal Welfare proponent who was the Rodeo Queen for this rodeo years ago, and never had anything bad to say about it, I didn't mind attending. Then this happened... And the longer I think about it the less likely I am going to attend any in the future.Β

Yea they tend to hide all the Inhumane things that go on, because they know that if people found out about them, most would not support it, even though some have found out what goes on, and tries to it a stop to it, whatever they witness is claimed to not be happening, that the animals are treated very well, that they aren't stressed or anything, well my opinion; I personally believe it is complete bs.
Just go to YouTube and search Inhumane rodeos, the evidence is there, It just doesn't make sense to me how they can deny that they really are mistreating their animals with cruelty.

I'm aware of the evidence, like I said I only attended this one - and debated attending another - because I knew a fairly staunch Animal Welfare supporter who was the Rodeo Queen for it and who would never have applied if she felt the animals were mistreated. However that was years ago, so who knows. But I agree, now more than stock I'm glad I have this photo up so people can go and judge for themselves what happened.Β
